    Oh well, I'm paying £600 pa for a 15 year old £1K car, but that was based on 9 points and two minor claims.

    A lot has to do with post code and your acorn classification.
    Debt free and plan on staying that way!!!!

    Hi - try quotezone and comparethemarket for other prices.

    Assuming you want the car to be covered for its full value whilst you are offshore including the unexpected like buncefield you are not likely to find cost effective pay as you drive is available anywhere and £600.00 for your risk profile and higher value car etc sounds a competitive price for a years insurance.
