MOT - Emissions advice please

    They gave me a print out - I'm not at home at the moment so I don't have it to hand.

    It all seems a bit hazy; one minute a car could pass and the next it could fail and cost hundreds! Even though this mechanic was recommended I still don't trust him, I think they all treat women like idiots. They know we won't stand up to them as much.

    Seems like the garage is genuine to me, if all they can fail a 14 year old fiesta on is the emissions.

    It's been well looked after and fully serviced throughout, and only done 70,000 miles, so is in a very good condition considering its age. But maybe you're right.

    Short journeys - about four miles each day, with occasional 50 mile round trips. That's it really.

    your lucky thats all it failed on, sill welding is common fails on fiestas

    Oil stores contaminants. When it gets old it's less able to store them, or something like that.

    I over change my oil, so its always nice and clean :)
