BT Charges for AOL mess up! Help

Hello I am new to the forum and was wondering if anyone could advise me?
I recently left AOL as they never sent thru my router etc, I was told for 4 weeks that it was on its way. The last call then ended with them explaining that there was a mistake with the ordering process and nobody was receiving their routers etc? In the end I explained that I wanted out as it was a waste of my time and that I was unhappy I had been lied to for such a long period of time.
I am now with Tiscali and find the service so far great. The problem is I have now incurred £70.00 off BT for stopping service bfore term expired?
I realise I am in between a rock and a hard place but is there anyway I can get out of paying this as I'm so angry that this has happened!!
Any advice would be great.
Thanks!
