Thought people would like to know this information because if some - like me - are looking for somewhere to put their Icesave money, the application for this Kent Reliance account has to be with them by the 28th November 2008 - I just spoke to them on the phone.

does that mean the cheque has to be with them by the 28th? or the cheque has to be cleared by the 28th?0 -

I was considering this. I just got the email from B&B about rates dropping to 4.6%, so I transferred the whole lot (£26,000), so now I have to decide where to put it, whilst it is in transit between there and my linked account. I've never heard of Kent Alliance?
I either put it in there in a fixed bond, might even do 2 years OR I put it in my Egg savings at 6.3% (fixed) but withdrawable, until 9th Oct 2009, at which date, perhaps anything over 2% will be unlikely?0 -
I was in chatham today and was told that the Kent Reliance 2 year deposit bond was being removed tomorrow night.0

Does anyone know exactly what circumstances these accounts could be closed early with n days penalty, i.e do you have to die or something?0
