I don't use trainline anymore. Once they started charging for CC transactions, I got a Switch/Maestro card, then they started charging for delivery. They even charge you when you collect your tickets from a Fast ticket machine! I emailed them telling them how discusting it was and took my business elsewhere. I usually use First Great Western for my tickets and they don't charge at all.

Yes, I use FGW too and great service. Tickets sent by return and no silly charges!

I also use the trainline and vistaprint and both have this little add on that looks like an offer but IMHO is a total scam. Without being big headed, i'm savvy to things like this so haven't fallen for it but I can see how people do, it's so deceiving.

Even today I booked train tickets and it says click here for your online discount or something along those lines. It's so misleading and it shouldn't be allowed.

    hi

last month i bought 2 train tickets from the trainline.com, no problems, but last week i notice that £10 had been taken from my bank account by a company called shopper discounts and rewards

apparently, unbeknown to me at the time, i had signed up for membership of their rewards program, and the £10 was the monthly fee

this came as a bit of a shock to me, but apparently i ticked a box saying that i wanted a discount, and that constituted a membership

so if your buying train tickets from the trainline be very careful what boxed you tick as you might get more than you expect

OMG!!!! I've always wondered who, what, where when how etc with that as the same happened to me ages ago, think I claimed it back from them the company direct tho.
Thanks for clearing that mystery for me :)
