charlies-aunt But think how smug and relieved you will quietly feel when you're finally free of your debt and your work colleagues are all lying awake at night fretting that their expensive M & S sandwiches weren't such a good idea after all.
:rotfl: :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:That made me giggle ! :T
They are lovely girls but very competitive about material possessions. I live for the day when reality hits and they have to stop spending and start to pay off their credit card bills run up by constantly trying to outdo each other with their clothes /shoes /perfume /cars...ohh! the pain...been there, done that myself but now a bit older and a bit wiser.
(Or older and wider would probably be more accurate in my case!) :rotfl::heartpuls The best things in life aren't things :heartpuls

I hear you Charlies-Aunt: I used to work with gals like that except it was rabid designer-handbag oneupmanship. I cannot conceive how it could make any sense to be earning a pretty average salary and think that £300 plus for a bag is anything approaching a sensible buy. Especially one in orange! I know some of my colleagues used to sneer at me behind my back because those lovely, smart good-label togs I wore to work were bought in charity shops or second-hand on ebay. That orange bag is horribly dated now but my clothes are still looking good.0

Well done sun addict, its such a relief when its over I know.
Charliesaunt - I know that one of my friends thinks I am mad cos I am constantly trying to cut costs and keep on top of money, whereas she puts the heating on if she feels chilly, when a jacket/jumper would suffice, or when its Christmas/birthdays for her kids she walks into HMV or similar and just buys the games they want without shopping round. But I know that everything we have I have paid for already and do not face years of paying over and over again. Its sad cos I see the level of debt friends are in and yet they are still not re-thinking their lifetsyles. Worryingly is the thought that if they lost an income the whole pack of cards would come tumbling down.
So while they may be looking down on you, I would see it that you should be looking down on them.0 -

It is a company from someone from MSE where you can buy food cheaply on line http://www.approvedfood.co.uk/
I last visited on the 17th, but people were having difficulties at the time. However, for those who remembered me being so upset when my ds was made redundant from his apprenticeship at Audi just over 12 mts ago... he's got his job back :j:j:j It's a long story but I'm so pleased for him.
Those in difficulty hang on in there, as hopefully things are slowly improving.Now thanks to Tommix & Queen Bear, now Lady Westy of Woodpecker0 -

I suppose BMF that there is some consolation in living up here then! We dont pay for water. Or at least it's included in the CT and isnt much. The amount of bloody rain we get, there would be a riot if they tried to charge for water up here!! You need to buy those big water butts and google American sites for ways to save it .... you have to beat them !!0

We bought big water containers, not expensive buts but big tanks last year and have a submersible pump that runs a hosepipe. At some point we're going to try to run the toilets off grey water. We've got a bungalow so we've got quite a lot of roofspace to collect rain water from.Piglet
