Good on her Ceri..about time more folk stood up to be counted! Isn't it weird tho how you read something & get a picture in your mind's eye, only to find the reality is totally different? I'd pictured a school like the ones you get in little villages, with a cobbled wall around a little playground...
The reason I've come back is I've just posted on Weezl's thread & thought you'd be interested too. Just reinforces that I do things without thinking anyone else would be interested I suppose.

Was it frys five centres? where each bit was a different flavour?

I can remember it too and it's not a 5 centres. I think they did a caramel one as well. May have been from a smaller maker. The truth may be out there, but the lies are inside your head. Terry Pratchett

Chocolate covered mint cracknel is what I miss. It was gorgeous, I used to scoff it after going to the swimming baths. Rancheros too, in the cafe upstairs, and a steamy Horlicks.
Oh crikey I'm starving. And I want Horlicks but there's none in the house.0 -

I've just started having hot milky drinks at bedtime again -partly because I sleep so lightly and wake up 6-7 time at least through the night. Too many probs I think
Any way for those of you who shop in MrL , they are selling Ovaltine at £1 intstead of around £2.44 at the moment. I stocked up on 3 jars because they had different flavours ie. chocolate and white malt.
Can't stop humming that old Ovalteenie ad now. Must be my age:pSealed Pot Challenge 7 Member 022 :staradmin:staradmin:staradmin

When "you" are comparing prices at the supermarket - do you check the comparison on the shelf label - easier than working prices out - I know Tesco do put price per 100gms or per litre etc. I can't say that I have taken notice if the others do it as well.
I shop in Sainsburys and they do put the price per kg or 100g on the shelf labels I always check which is cheaper. Even things like frozen peas, sometimes Birds Eye peas are cheaper than own brand. Often things on offer, like buy two for £2 are actually cheaper per kg if you just buy 1 larger box. Always worth a quick look to make sure not being stitched up by the supermarkets. I hate them getting one over on me!There is no issue so small that it can't be blown out of proportion0 -

I've often noticed that the "value" stuff works out dearer than normal items - and that really does annoy me.0 -
Didn't think that the inside was strawberry but the packaging sounded like a Cadburys Secret.
It was very delicate a criss cross of chocolate threads and a soft centre.
I am drooling writing this.

Thats so sad, threads like this are all about OS living and not really for the less serious Arms threads,
Hope Kittie comes back soon.
I tend not to stray too far from OS Moneysavers because a) I don't have time to read even more posts and b) I've seen how rude some of the folk can be in other areas of the forum.
I think it's very dismissive to move a thread that has been running happily for over two years, as though the OP is suddenly posting off-topic. I don't want to wade through idle banter in the arms to find out how to save money. That's not why I come to this site. I'm guessing most folk here feel the same.
I stay where I like the company; like you I am missing Kittie.
