I know someone said they were Bourjois or Maybelline or something, but does anyone know what the exact amounts and spends on each are? Was gonna go to Boots first thing today, but seen as my surroundings are plagued with black ice, I don't think I will bother! *mega pout*

Come on, hurry up Mr Sun, melt the ice, so moi can go Bootsing!
Mimi, I went to Boots today but was given a blue voucher, skincare and healthcare. Maybe the new ones start tomorrow
  • Tomorrow, (probably for bourjois and maybeline) they are still desperately handing out blueys to everyone as they walk by today at my local - no one is taking them, lol, I wonder why? Take note Mr B, with this new voucher, make sure you have plenty of little or preferably no spend items in stock!

Thanks for that. I still have 1 bluey to spend, but doubt if I'll bother .................. nothing I really want or need (especially as even the Time Delay stuff that can be used with it, is well over £5, so no 'freebies' as such)
  • Woohoo ladies and gentlemen, not had a chance to catch up since a quick glance on Saturday morning, as I've been such a busy bat :D

Had some time in lieu owed to me at work on Friday afternoon, so headed to the Cambridge Retail Park...and my shop went like this:

1x Christmas present for Mr BTVB £17.75 :D
    1x Barry M Eye Dazzle pot £4.50
6x Boots Tea Tree shampoo (2 bottles for £2.00) £6.00
2x Head and Shoulders 400ml (on offer) £5.00
1x pack cotton wool pads £0.89
1x Natural Collection Sea Mineral and Samphire shower cream £1.99 - I love this stuff as I find a little really goes a long way so a bottle lasts me quite a while.

    Total to pay = £36.13

    Handed over = 300pts WYS £35 from ACM + 150pts WYS £20 from mailing + 250pts on No7 + double points voucher.

    Total points awarded = 988

The shampoo is for Papa BTVB so I will get £6 back there, so it only cost me £30 really, plus nearly £10 worth of points and one of Mr BTVB's Christmas presents taken care of :)

There were a handful of men's No7 GWP with the men's stuff towards the rear of the store, but all the signs still said a £20 spend to get the GWP - couldn't be bothered to get something else and then argue with the SA about it. It looked as though someone had been busy opening the ladies' GWP and removing bits and pieces - charming!

Loving the thought of anybunny lurking in the aisle in her local Boots to get the lowdown from the store manager nearby :rotfl: So pleased the flipping blueys are coming to an end, and Mr BTVB will be equally pleased to hear that there is a MEGA points thingy coming up again - presumably he won't be able to combine his mailing coupon for 250pts WYS £30 or an ACM voucher for 300pts WYS £35 with the mega points?

    Hiya,

I'm new to this thread and I'm after some moneysaving tips at Boots please. I have after reading this thread got a Boots card, so thanks for the advise.

I need to buy a ladyshave and hairdryer, are there any specials/glitches like bogof on electricals or more points?

    Please help.

    Pj
  • Had to go out and get some bits today, so popped into my local, and very small Boots, just on the offchance they'd have some ROC wipes for 99p and ........................... they didn't.

I asked a young male SA if he could check the stock room for me, and he went very, very red, and said "I've already done that today, and there aren't any". "OK, thanks" I said, I went on my merry way.

Now, did he go red because he was of an age when males go red if anyone looks at them? Or were his blushes due to the fact that millions of Bootsers had already asked him, and perhaps got frustrated? Or could it be for Another Reason, like ..... they may be holding them back?

Have things like this happened before in the far off distant days?

    Great shop !
Why ever not? find a friendly SA ;) strike up a convo and you never know what they will put thru! the till accepts them, it just seems to be the SA's who turn them down without even trying
I got 1000 xmas eve bonus points, 500 extra xmas eve bonus from last time, 300 acm wys £35, 200, wys £25 acm, + 200 + 'normal spend' points and 500 for using love2shop vouchers (thanks for that meandmaboy :T)

At least if he was lying he had the decency to go red and feel bad. Although I suspect that it is due to Bootsers asking. I ask in my local everyday...:o

    Hi, welcome!
no points on hair dryers, afaik, but there are some reduced ones http://www.boots.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/CategoryDisplay?langId=-1&Nr=AND(DIM_PREMIUM_BRAND_FLAG%3aN%2cDIM_PARENT_PRODUCT_ID%3aIS_PARENT)&Ntk=DIM_PARENT_CATEGORY_IDS&catalogId=11051&landId=-1&categoryParentId=4662&Ne=475&Rpp=10&Ntt=4663&storeId=10052&Ntx=mode%2bmatchall&N=4294746415&categoryId=4663&st=category
and if you think your total spend will be anywhere near the £50 mark it might be best to wait a few days to see if there is a mega points event instore eg; 1000 wys £50. (maybe this weekend ) also on the day check a couple of acm machines with your card and you should get some total spend points vouchers ie 200 wys £25 or 300 wys £35, a nice SA will hopefully let you combine lots of points vouchers (see my post above, the SA then was really lovely, and almost as pleased as I was about the points total!) hth

Oh and can anyone tell me how to do those nice short renamed linkys, where you just have the title or name of the link instead of the great big long list like up there? ( if it's complicated pm me!)

Hi Narabalnekeater glad to find another Leicester bootser. My posts aren't going to waste LOL :o

I'm living in Leicester too at the moment!

Any Swansea bootsers out there? I've not been to the Boots in the Quadrant (is it even still called that, lol) since I took up Bootsing but will be going home in the next few weeks, Do they have ss tills? Where is the clearance bit? Are the sa's voucher friendly? Thanks x
