Hello fellow Bootsers, I need some help please. I picked a gift tag from the giving tree today for giving presents for the less fortunte of my local community. I chose one that had 'ladies toiletries' on it which I thought would be easy and fabby. However, it seems the toiletries are for meant to be for elderly women. So you see, I am not sure this lady would appreciate a lovely foot gift set if flexibility and reaching feet is going to be an issue! Any ideas would be much appreciated! i want to buy something nice but suitable that would make an elderly lady very happy on xmas day. TIA.

how about these? - I've got my eye on the rose one for the sales!

or this? they also have a rose or lavender variety

oooo just had a thought, how about getting one of the above in with the 2 x razor glitch and making 2 men very happy as well?

Can you set this mirror on one side and adjust the angle of the other side so that you can use it hands-free to apply makeup? Is it very good or bright? I have a battery-operated travel mirror on a stand that I was going to take on a trip, but I wonder if the no7 one is better?

I bought the no7 massager (got it free with ts and pinky last month before the offer ended), but I really wanted the compact mirror that they were out of. I haven't opened the massager at all and still have the receipt, and it sounds like people don't rate it too highly, anyway. I'm thinking of taking it back to swap for the mirror and pay the 2.50 difference in price. I'm not sure the mirror is much worth it either, but if it's decent, at least it takes less space up than the useless massager, lol.

Does the tag give suggestions? If it were for the less fortunate, the recipient may need more common-type items to use every day rather than some luxury thing that she may not use at all. Like maybe shampoo, deodorant, body or hand lotion, toothpaste and toothbrush, soap (hand or body soap), etc. Maybe throw in a little bottle or spray can of fragrance or something as a special treat. You might have a good bit of that in your Boots stash already, and I'm sure it would be appreciated. :)

How about an elderly man, or better still a young one. ;)

Seriously though, footcare is very nice for all ages. But maybe if she can't reach her own feet someone may be able to do it for her. Also it depends on how old elderly is.

    Are we talking 60's or 70's Plus.

You may just be better playing it safer with some facial skincare or hand cream.

Boots do a nice range of Oil of evening primrose skincare. Also there are vouchers in the ACM for BOGOF on that range. You could also try Boots Royal Jelly range.(There is some kind of offer there too but I can't remember what it is)

Good luck, and what a lovely gesture. :T :T

So long as you have receipt and you exchange for something of equal or higher value it should be ok. If you take all 3 back you won't get the elle bag for the 1/2 price anymore.
I'm not sure about lower value items, although thinking about it anything lower would become your free 342 item iyswim? I've always found boots brilliant with returns. :T
I do hope it is really as lovely as it looks on .com I've never seen it in real life, as my store was oos so I ordered instore and won't get it until thurs.

Thanks minimoneyme. I am going to keep one for myself. I have not had problems with returns in the past, but never returned 2 items from a 342 before. :T BTW you will love it, I think they are getting orders out fast.

Thank you all you kind Bootsers for your suggestions. The gift tag didn't say an age so it is a bit of a guessing game. So I will try to choose something appropriate for a larger age range, maybe a combination of practical and luxury items, after all it is crimbo!!:j

    Hi
How easy would it to be return one of the front cover eye palletes my daughter recieved 2 for her birthday yesterday.
    thanks
If you don't have a receipt they will exchange for something else at the current price. Some have said cosmetics can be awkward to return, but I seem to remember these sets are sealed and if you explain it is an unwanted gift, you should be OK.

What a pity, it sounded like you missed the one in Clayton Sq shopping centre. Big store on 2 floors. Just a couple of hundred yards from St Georges hall. Best store of the lot. Great SA's very friendly and helpful, and superb management.

I think it might have been the Clayton Sq one I meant, when I said opposite St Georges. There's a Zavvi over two floors as well next door to the one I went to?
