  • hey jonathan, if you've got a Blockbuster store near you, it'd be worth your while asking in there if they have any vacancies.

although you get the minimum wage, you can have 10 free rentals a week - if you like films and games, thats approx £50 a week saving!

some of the lads in our local one only work 1 night a week, but still get the 10 rentals!

pub work is ok, so is waitering in restaurants, but most places now put your tips thro the till so you'll have tax deducted from them.

some big shops want people to fill shelves late night/over night on the lead up to Christmas or extra staff at supermarkets for the .com deliveries.

good luck and I hope you find something soon.

Thats partly the customer being silly and not giving tips in cash rather adding them on to the bill.
However back when I used to work in a resturant we used to deduct the cash from the box to make up for tips on the credit card.
The meals were never tallied to the receipts, only the overall night total had to match.

Ultimately you have to see if the extra money is worth the less time you'll be spending with family :)
No signature for me. Too skint :P
  • thats it keemo. i dont want to. i want to spend more time with my family (well just sarah atm but hopeing soon lol) and spend time lifting. but needs must i suppose. i want to save so i can poss look at some racing next couple years aswell.
doorman aint going to work, sarah really dosnt want me to do it, and i can see why i suppose.
blockbusters dosnt sound bad, like my movies lol.
  • I work full time as a nurse but also night nanny ad-hoc for people who have had a new baby or twins/triplets so they get a nights sleep and i take of the little ones.

this work those is very ad-hoc may get the odd one night booking although did do a few months one/two nights a week recently which was nice.

the family had their own business so paid my tax etc on top of what they paid me so they paid me a net wage.

I work fulltime 9-5 and part time 12hrs per week in a haddows. Its 3 nights of 4 hours each 6-10 but you could have different and i get 22% tax on this but still walk away with £220 a month for sitting around reading magazines and tidying/stocking up. Its a good and easy way for extra cash. xx
