Made some butter today :jbought a cheese cloth so hopefully i drained it well...
 (butter milk)0 -
I use the buttermilk for scones and soda bread, and if I am not having any that day/ week, it freezes well. I also tend to use the Kenwood if I can as it doesn't need drained afterwards, the K beater knocks all the buttermilk out, but in the FP it needs draining down. I wrap it in kitchen roll and squeeeeeeeeze if I do it in the FP (when its only one or two tubs)It's what is inside your head that matters in life - not what's outside your windowEvery worthwhile accomplishment, big or little, has its stages of drudgery and triumph; a beginning, a struggle and a victory. - Ghandi0

Not really sure - I think that it's going to be a matter of personal taste. I decided to leave mine unsalted as I was storing it in the freezer in small amounts so I don't think there will be a danger of what I am using going off.
If I were going to try salted then I'd add 1 level teaspoon to a pint of cream and see how that turned out0 -
anyone know how you can make butter from cream?someone on here mentioned it was much cheaper than buying butter, but not how they did it.thanks!:j0

Your wonderful, the buttermilk brings back childhood memories, we use to go to a working farm when I was a child and they made butter, and you could buy a jar of the buttermilk for 5p, it was lovely, and the butter.
Going to have a go with daughter, thank you for bringing a childhood memory back. xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
