  • I've had a NSD - first in ages and I'm so pleased :j

Made dinner from whatever I found in the fridge

Did 3 loads of washing and hung it to dry in my 'free' drying room - I hung some strips of wood across the doorways the area in front of my pantry and I can hang up loads of washing and it dries from the heat generated from the kitchen when I'm cooking :T

Made bread for sons packed lunch tomorrow

Replaced the zip in my New Rocks

Got candles burning instead of the lights

I'm sure I've done more but as it becomes a way of life when you've been doing it for so long and I forget, plus my memory is awful :rotfl:
I won't buy it if I can make or borrow it instead
  • lilly81 - so sorry to hear your news! Hope something turns up soon. lots of :grouphug:

    A NSD for me :-)

Paid £10 off the credit card
Took own sandwiches to work, and just made some ready for tomorrow.
Tidied the kitchen drawers and dug out a few "try me free" cheques which I'll pay into the bank tomorrow. Only £12 worth but every little helps.
Debt free since December 2015. It can be done

LIly, so very sorry to hear the news on the job front. Get your soa up and everyone will do all they can to help you, am sure another job will be winging its way to you. Try and stay positive you can and will get through this, even if it doesn't feel like it at the mo. Sending you big hugs.

Piq, thanks for the boost earlier about my business, am not the most pacient person and i just love practicing massage so miss being able to put my skills into use as much as i would like to, but your post gave me a much needed hug!!

Candy, nice to see you back on here, haven't seen any of your posts in a while and often thought of you. Sorry your day wasn't so good

The toothache isn't too bad, am thinking/hoping its just the wisdom teeth still pushing their way through, or thats what i'm going to tell myself unless i am forced to endure the pain for around a week, then i'll have to admit defeat and go to the dentist:rotfl:

Well rather pleased with myself, didn't catch the bus and instead walked the two miles to work and then two miles back again. It was nice feeling the wind on my face for a change instead of being stuck in the car.

Also paid credit card bill today.

Not sure is exactly a moneys saving thing but more of an indication of how MSE behaviour becomes part of life! My DD1 (17) was telling me that her boyfriends mum's friend has been the victim of Credit card fraud - she tried to pay for something and her card was declined - she phoned the bank and they said over £2000 had been taken from her account (not by her!) - she was not aware as it had been a little at a time - my daughter said there is no way that would happen to me cos I check my online banking that much that I can tell you exactly (to the penny!) how much is in my bank or on my credit cards - no one could ever take anything from them without me noticing!:D

Also - I phoned Npower today - they had increased my DD from £184 to £225:eek: despite telling me my account was in credit! She appolgised and rechecked the account (a bit compicated cos I was paying back some arrears then switched, then switched back!) My DD is now £85 as I am in credit!!!!
  • Lily - sorry to hear about your job, hope you find something soon. i have had a lot of success with agencies in the past and even got taken on permanently somewhere as a result. Might be worth looking into?
