I agree with you Lou ( not about you being stupid!). You are too honest for your own good. Complete honesty, and honour, needs to be a shared thing I think . Time to check the Insurance Policy maybe? Bummer.

Hope you feel better Lou - and hopefully the damage won't be too expensive. However, the thing that springs to mind - why has she waited a few days?? Don't suppose you took any photos at the time of the damage with your mobile? I'm probably being overly cautious, but just make sure the quote is only for the damage you caused!

not really pepe - leftover sausage paella from last night! Well, I guess it is nourishing, but it's just leftovers really. I'm trying to stay out of the supermarkets as much as possible this month. I had a big delivery at the beginning of the month from OH's contribution and the freezer was still pretty full. I think I've spent about £20 other than that so far - I could do with emptying the freezer and defrosting it before the Christmas onslaught begins.

Well its still better than an oven chip butty.
I'm trying to be mega-good this week, fruit and nuts and water (and tea ) after a weekend of stuufing myself with everything I shouldnt...It wasn't my fault that BIL leased a pub!!!;)

to be honest, it's whatever is in the house over the next few days. I realised the other day I have 9 cans of baked beans in the cupboard - beans on toast could be featuring quite regularly for lunch soon!
