Well, I wanted £250 for my items and I got............£138.66

I just don't know what to do now - all but 1 item sold but they weren't getting anywhere near what they should have made. My ring only got £56!!! That costs £350 new!!!

I'm feeling really deflated now, need to think of another plan :(

Just spoken to my wonderful boyfriend. He said that I should get as far as I can with raising the money and then he will add the remainder at the end of next week and give me as long as I need to pay it back.

He's in debt too but his mum is helping him clear it (his parents are loaded so they can afford to help him). I think he feels a bit sorry for me as I'm trying to clear it all myself (even though I know it's my fault!), my parents have never been that well off and it's even worse now my dad has gone (hence the reason I need to get the money ASAP).

I still want to raise as much as I can but now the pressure is off a bit :o

Hi Emily, sorry to hear you didn't get the full amount you needed, but congratulations on what you did get. I had my eye on the cocoa butter stuff (forward planning for the inevitable stretch-marks lol) but went out and forgot about it, sorry. Anyway, I've put a bid in for the Cross Stitcher's Bible Fabulous Flowers book for my Mum for Xmas - so if anyone wants it, you'll have to try and outbid me and make Emily some more money hahaha :)!!

I love the turquoise top too, but it will be quite some time (never) before I see a size 10 again :D.

Hope you make loads, what a lovely boyfriend you must have!

    Love Snaggles xx

Thanks Snaggles - my stuff seems to be doing better this time round. I've already sold 2 items for £25.

I haven't been paid for my ring yet and to be honest I hope that I'm not as I don't want to give it away at such a ridiculous price. Maybe then I can relist it on my boyfriend's Ebay account and let him have the money from it.

Oh well, back to work today - what deep joy

    Hi everyone

My Ebay items seem to be doing better this time round. I've already sold £32.50 worth and I only listed them 24 hours ago!!

My boyfriend has said that he will get me £1,000 before the end of the week that I can use to pay my mum back. With that and the money I will get from AQA and Ebay, I should be ok now. My next challenge of course will be to pay my boyfriend back but at least that is only £1,000 and not £2,000 and I haven't got a deadline to meet, although I would like to pay him back within the next month.

I can rest now and stop running around like a blue !!!! fly!! :D

  • HI Emily

Just curious, what was your sister like when you told her about that weekend away?

Also can anyone give an idiot (that'd be me then) some more ideas about making money? At the moment I'm managing quite successfully to lose it. I haven't got anything to sell except a few books and the last one cost more in postage than I got for it (told you I was stupid!!). I'm not entitled to any bank charges and I'm about as artistic as a drunken spider with a paint brush!!!! I do mystery shopping but my work situation meant I never knew til Friday what I was working the following week so couldn't plan to do any unless I was on nights or holidays. I'm hoping that's remedied next week cos I start a new job. I desperately want to pay at least half of one of my credit cards off before the end of November but I owe £2800 on it.

    Please help :o:o:o:o:o
