I am trying to avoid making separate bookings just in case the second room rate is not available to me at £10.
Has anyone else been successful with booking multiple rooms at the same time?

I think the answer is then that they do NOT have lots of vacancies. The site lets you book two rooms at Supersaver rate if they are available. I've just tried a test booking at Birch on 9 July and got offered two Supersaver rooms.

    Hi all

    Just got back, from London.

We had 2 family rooms for 3 nights in the Battersea Travelodge (29th, 30th, 31st dec)
I booked both of these at the same time for £10 per night each.

The Travelodge is absolutely fine. Our rooms were clean and tidy, the cleaner comes everyday, changes the sheets and towels, tops up the tea and coffee supplies (more are available at reception free of charge if you need it)
It is also very quiet, which is handy for me, as I live in the middle of nowhere, and am used to sleeping in silence and the pitch black!

I only had one very minor complaint - I couldn't get the text to work on the tv, so couldn't check the footie results. My wife thought this was hilarious (she doesn't like sport!!)

Although not in the heart of london there are bus stops right outside, which take you to Vauxhall bus/tube station(44) or earls court tube (C3)

We caught the 44 everytime, 10 mins to Vauxhall then tube into central london (victoria 2 stops, oxford circus 4 stops - 5/10 mins)

We had a great time. For £10 a night its a bargain.

    Tip

When booking, always book a Family room, even if its just the two of you. You will appreciate the extra room.
  • We stayed at London City Airport travelodge and got 2 £10 rooms for 2 nights just before Christmas.

It's in between 2 new DLR stations and even nearer to Silvertown train station. Tt took us about 50 minutes to get from the Travelodge in to the centre of London. A family travelcard cost us £8.60 on Friday and £7.00 on Saturday to get us to and around London.

This hotel has been open only a month so everything is new and great value for £20 for 6 people a night.

The only tiny criticism was that we had to make up own our beds but my husband wouldn't let me complain at £10 a night!

I'd highly recommend the Travelodge offer, and the hotel as well. The area is not the nicest in London but it's convenient for cheap public transport. It's great for West Ham and Charlton Athletic fans who don't live in the capital as well.

anyone know anything about the travellodge kings cross have got a family room for 4 of us for £26 a night.
  • Have been booking rooms for partner at Docklands and City Airport and Ilford for the past three months....mainly for the £26 saver deal....have to say that there have been on average 70% problems with the rooms. Samll problem was the other night when I happened to make a journey for the sales down to the big smoke, there was no running water on the side of the building we were staying at, in the morning.....so no shower and smelly shopping......had to argue with them for ten minutes to get a jug of water to brush my teeth!! Unfortunately have booked the next two months at the Docklands....lets hope hubby doesn't blame me....

Just booked Wakefield, Woolley Edge in March. Decided to try for two rooms. There is no facility to book more than one room on the initial page, but once one room is added to the basket you then get the option to book further rooms. So after I £10 family room was added to my basket I had the choice of adding an additional family room for £26 or a double for £10. I added the double - one family room and one double for £40 for two nights -Wow! When I go to visit my son and Mum accompanies me we normally share, what luxury our own rooms.

Yes, but how far did you get with your "booking" as my problem in trying to book two £10 rooms starts when I get to "confirming the booking stage" when one of the rooms suddenly changes price to £26, as up to that stage both rooms are available at £10, and this happens when I try to book on various dates throughout the year.

This has happened to me on my last 2 hotel stays one a 4 star the other a 3 star in Manchester. Perhaps it is a national thing.
Annoying too as I also wanted the footie results!

it took me over an hour to find a hotel in the bristol area that had two rooms available for two consecutive nights over a weekend. But as i didnt have a set date in mind, just a place, it was easier to narrow the search down iyswim

in the search box if you put the date you want to stay from ,how many nights you are staying, and which hotel you want to stay at, it tells you straight away if they have rooms available at the £10 rate for all nights of your stay. other than that, it will list all the prices for available rooms, and then you make your choice from those.

if however, you are only wanting to book £10 rooms and dont mind when you stay, you can then just search by the hotel name, and then work your way through, week by week, to see which dates are available.

however i will say, the only places that seem to have good availability on the £10 offer, are all in Scotland. everywhere else has already sold out.

Although the website says you can book rooms up to 12months in advance, it only seems to allow you to book up to 8 months in advance. working on that assumption if you are wanting to stay somewhere on the £10 offer, plan exactly 8 months ahead and just wait till your dates become available, and get in there quick

you dont need to make two seperate bookings either. once a £10 room is in your basket it is held there until you confirm your booking, or leave the site. However if the hotel is only showing one £10 room on the enquiry page, then that hotel only has one £10 room available. The best way to know they have two rooms available is if they are showing say a family room at £10 and a twin room at £10 (it doesnt tell you how many of each type that is available, there could be only one of each, or lots, you wont know this until you add to basket). The hotel i booked, was showing a family and a double room at £10 so i booked those. Anyway even if you add a room to the basket, and then when you go back, there was only one £10 room available, you can remove the room from your booking and go looking for another hotel, that might have two rooms available

not sure if this all makes sense, to the reader, but it did to me when i typed it lol
