How do I make a complaint letter?

I would really hate any newbies coming on here suffering with dyslexia, if the only advice offered is by halfwits preaching "P's & Q's", simply because they have nothing more constructive to offer.:A:dance:1+1+1=1:dance::A
"Marleyboy you are a legend!"
MarleyBoy "You are the Greatest"
Marleyboy You Are A Legend!
Marleyboy speaks sense
marleyboy (total legend)
Marleyboy - You are, indeed, a legend.0 -
I think it's fairly constructive telling them to write a gramatically correct letter - how do you think the company in question is going to deal with a letter they can't understand due to poor use of language? They'll ignore and bin the letter.
Instead, if they get something well structured they'll think that they're dealing with a decent individual rather than some chav that's just out to get whatever they can.0 -

It is a fair point, BS, but there are ways of saying it;) I think it was mainly daveboy's post which marleyboy is referring to and rightly so too. Some posts I've read on here border on downright cruel.
I think the op has a justified complaint and hopefully will venture back and post a draft letter which genuine mse -ers can help him with.0 -
Date of Purchase?
Date of Breakdown?
Date of Replacement?
Reason for delay in replacement?
Name of Supplier?
All of these answers are needed to help with a letter.
If it took the supplier a month to obtain a replacement then I don't see how you can expect compensation. If on the other hand they messed you around then that could be a different matter.
Loss of frozen food will be covered under your Home Contents Policy.
My personal view is - Freezer breaks down. Freezer replaced. No compensation as you are now back in the same position as you were before the breakdown. The fact that you couldn't use frozen food for a month is neither here nor there.0
