Hello all. I need to produce a really good complaint letter and of course i am looking for some sort of compensation. basically, brought a new fridge, then it broke and has taken a month to replace. within that period i was unable to use the fridge freezer and also lost most of my food due to alot of it defrosting.
If anyone has any ideas, good links or previous complaint letters do let me know.
cheers

First I'd learn the difference between brought and bought and quite possibly their, there and they're as well as to and too.
People will take you more seriously if you use terms and words correctly.0 -
and maybe that's why they've asked for help on here, instead they get a slap from you, what are you their, there, they're teacher!0

While you're at it, write a letter of complaint to the school you attended.
This is something I was taught years ago - it is simple to do.
Instead of posting on here, try doing something for yourself instead of being lazy and getting someone else to do it.0 -

Are you stressed out or something? do you take your stress out after work on forums? All i was doing was asking for some help, perhaps a decent link! I thought this was meant to be a community to help each other in money matters.
mr daveboy i suggest you get a life, then you may be a little happier and more helpful. In future if you have not got an answer for questions on this forum save your energy and dont type anything. use your energy in a better way, like putting your socks in colour co-ordination. (i am sure you do anyway) !!!!!!!!!0 -
You might get a better response if you have a go at writing your own and asking for comments. That way you would end up writing down enough of the problem hopefully for everyone to understand and people would feel more willing to pile in with suggestions. And those who like to comment on spelling and grammar would be helping you too. So it would be win win all the way.kingnavylion wrote: »Are you stressed out or something? do you take your stress out after work on forums? Not sure entirely if you will get anything worthwhile from a complain letter.
Contract law is quite particular in places and prooving a breach of contract is not always easy, although it is a statute law to be provided with a new item that can perform the function it is supposed to.
You have however stated that you have had a financial loss so this would qualify under breach of contract.
I would write something basic firstly stating what has happened from purchase until now. State that under your statutory rights you are entitled to expect an item purchased can be reasonable expected to be fit for its intended purpose. It seems as though it has not, although we do not know the full story yet, as your food was destroyed due to its failure.
You need to state that they have breached contract by failing to meet this statutory requirement. You need to set the scene but try not to drift from the point.
Have a go at coming up with something and you can PM me with the letter if you want.
Don't worry about the spelling issues, we all have our positives and negatives. Hopefully you can use this info to come uo with a starting letter and develop it further.
