Beware of Epsons as they are suing people selling compatible carts and alot have stopped selling them just something to bear in mind.
  • I wondered why a lot of sites were stopping selling them . I wonder under what reason that Epson are suing them ?

This was cribbed off a Register article, just a snippet.
'''Last year, several printer manufacturers, including HP and Lexmark, tryed to stop the European Union passing regulation that would outlaw the use of these chips, but their pleas were largely ignored. By 2006 the use of chips to prevent or restrict refills are strictly forbidden under European law. ®'''
The whole thing is murky at best.

if you haven't yet taken the plunge.....

Couldn't find proper reviews for the first 4.

    - Samsung A6 (6mp,3x,4x,32mb,1.8"LCD) - £100 / Has many features (see under modes too), & apparently more manual functions than most other similarly priced cameras

    - Samsung A4 (4mp,3x,4x,16mb,1.8"LCD) - £85 / A4 features

    - Kodak CX6445 (4mp,4x,4x,16mb,1.8"LCD) - £95 / Full specs

    - Hitachi HDC-531E (5mp,3x,4x,16mb,2"LCD) - £90 / Found the Hitachi website but no digital cameras?!

    - Panasonic DMC-LS1B (4mp,3x,4x,14mb,2"LCD) - £80 / Good reviews at Digicamreview, Megapixel & Cameras.co.uk

To me the Panasonic DMC-LS1B seems the best of the lot & I may go for it eventually. G

    to make it easier

    - Kodak C340 (5mp,3x,5x,16mb,1.6"LCD) - £93 / Review

    - Kodak C360 (5mp,3x,5x,32mb,2"LCD) - £100 / Reviews 1, 2 & 3

From the reviews, the latter is a lot better. G
