Hi,
I am after getting a digital camera at least 4MP and maybe 3x optical zoom. I am not after the cheapest but more so the best value for money. I would also like a stand alone photo printer, which i do not know much about and I would appreciate it if you could give me some guidance. My budget is about £150 for both but I can stretch my budget a little, mybe £100 for the camera and £50 for the printer. There is this Olympus Printer >>here<< for £22.50, is this a good quality printer. Also what about the Olumpus FE100 >>here<< for £83.20. Are these good pieces of kit? I would really apprecaite some recommendations or some good review websites.
Many Thanks in advance
Jonathan

Thanks for the find Tallyho, but the 2 reviews I've read are good but not excellent:
Review 1 for the Nikon 5200 - http://www.imaging-resource.com/PRODS/CP5200/CP52A.HTM
Review 2 for the Nikon Coolpix 5200 - http://www.dcresource.com/reviews/nikon/coolpix5200-review/
Could you please provide links to the reviews you've been reading?
Like jonnymeldrum, I'm after a d'cam myself (£100 max) & been doing some research, but I'm having difficulty choosing.

When I say excellent it depends on what you need in a camera but try this :

Thanks again. I just found that a min ago myself - it is the best review of the lot!! G
PS - I'd clicked on your 'Thanks' button a short while ago to thank you for the find : ) Being new, I wondered if I was doing the right thing!0 -
Hi
I got the FE-120 from currys it is the next version up from the FE-100 all I can say is that is very easy to use and the pic quality is great. If you just want a camera to take family shots then this will be fine.
Happy Snapping! If Tescos and Asda are lowering prices every day,
how come nothing is free yet? :rotfl:0 -
Count your pennies again and seriously think about treating yourself. If you can still find the Panasonic FZ-20 at Jessops for £199 you'll never, ever regret it. That's about half price and 5MP with a magnificent 12x Leica zoom lens. An SD card on top will run you another £12 or so for a 256MB. Then, save up for a printer if you really want to (or buy the cheapie you mentioned). But most places can do prints for 7p/ea and you won't have to get ink on your fingers messing about with moneysaving refills and buying posh glossy paper in return for poorer prints. That Panasonic will take shots other cameras can't get close to achieving.
As I said, consider it.
