Orange evening calls/free texts

I joined this scheme on 27/11/05. On 28/11, my free texts appeared. I then topped up by £10. This morning 29/12, texts are back to 10p, no confirmation of the new bundle arriving. I've rung Orange who said I should receive a confirmation text today (only after I asked if I should get one). I don't feel too confident that this will happen.
Surely the new texts and calls should have been activated at 00:00 on 29/12? or am I missing something?

i got them last month, took a while for the confirmation to arrive though0

The way I understand it is this:
The texts appear straight away after you apply ( the first months texts are a 'gift' if you like - no min top up required)
To get your second months allowance you need to have topped up £10 in the first month. You then get texts and calls. However this has not happened to me (despite registering for both). Orange are supposed to be sorting it and I'll receive a text message supposedly?!
They told me to give it a week before I ring back - are they pulling a fast one?0 -

I have been (angry customer) of orange for the past 8 years PAYG and contract. In the summer I purchased new sim with free text's when you topped up £10 worked straight away....Now I have been given ( via orange web site) free sim ( kept same number) When I top up £15 every 4 weeks I receive free evening calls and texts BUT WILL NOT WORK UNTIL FOLLOWING MONTH AFTER TOP UP....Strange because at present my free evening calls are working and not my Text's....I'm on first name terms with customer complaints at orange...I always ask there NAME FIRST , Then I tell them I STRONGLY OBJECT to being charged 25p (one off fee per orange call) to call and complain, 9 times outta 10 they will credit ur phone 25p and give u some freebiesI would love to be a Travel Agent :j0 -
my first ever free calls and texts are nearly finished so i have topped up £15 for next month's free txt and calls. I'll keep you posted on when i receive them (IF I DO)0

cool i get 3000 off peak free texts, 600 evening mins, 30 days unlimited orange world, 20 days of 15 mins x network anytime calls all for £50, then £25 bonus back in call time the following month

I am having a similar problem. Have topped up with £20 so was expecting 600 texts (well it is new year! lol) however having spoke to Orange on 4 occasions there is no sign of them. They have given me 4 different dates :mad: . The latest is that it is on my account for the 28th however they say can take 72 hrs to activate and to wait for a text (they are having a laugh)

I am told I should have them before midnight on new years eve.
I am starting to feel they realise how much revenue they could lose by giving free text's over the new year .. or am i just being an old cynic?.

I haven't been given a specific date for mine. CS have 'logged' a query, they said they couldn't resolve it on the spot as its automated, yes of course it is !!!I am starting to feel they realise how much revenue they could lose by giving free text's over the new year .. or am i just being an old cynic?.
well nobody would blame you. I get the impression that they're clowning about. How can it take so long to resolve a problem that simply involves pushing a button?
oh hang on, they want me to make lots of 10p texts and 20p calls whilst I'm waiting, ahhhhhh0
