Stupid question, I'm sure, but would this be the best thing for me - I'm moving to London very shortly, and we're then moving again in Jan, renting until we decide where to buy - but I'm doing a PhD and need internet all the time - but obviously we can't sign up for a 12 month home broadband contract! Can we take this with us (given it's a contract for 18-24 months) when we move (twice)?

    TIA
    xxx
Have advised jojo2004 to look at short term and 'no contract' deals, effectively PAYG broadband. Does anyone have any experience they can share of these companies/ Thanks:T

Usb dongles should deffo work with any computer with a 2.0 usb socket.
  • Why only with a USB 2.0?
I only have USB 1.0 on my pc, is that why I can't get any bluetooth or wireless dongles to work?

That might not be the only reason: perhaps your PC/Lappy hardware is just to old for the drivers to be compatible.
