Have advised jojo2004 to look at short term and 'no contract' deals, effectively PAYG broadband. Does anyone have any experience they can share of these companies/ Thanks:TStupid question, I'm sure, but would this be the best thing for me - I'm moving to London very shortly, and we're then moving again in Jan, renting until we decide where to buy - but I'm doing a PhD and need internet all the time - but obviously we can't sign up for a 12 month home broadband contract! Can we take this with us (given it's a contract for 18-24 months) when we move (twice)?
TIA

This maybe a stupid question BUT can you use a usb dongle with a desktop pc or does it only work with laptops?Hull City Premier League! :T:T0

Usb dongles should deffo work with any computer with a 2.0 usb socket.0

Why only with a USB 2.0?
I only have USB 1.0 on my pc, is that why I can't get any bluetooth or wireless dongles to work?:eek:0 -
That might not be the only reason: perhaps your PC/Lappy hardware is just to old for the drivers to be compatible.0
