Rach - hope DH's exam went well and he's not too stressed out this evening.
Pigpen - nice pic of the birthday girl - and well done you on being so cool headed with the bully's parent
Lil-me - well done on your win!
Johanne - good news about the Avon stuff - well done you

I am mentally pooped. My brain is full and I don't want to think anymore this evening. Work is proving v. interesting. Part of my brief is to align the existing process with that at the site I worked at before. Trouble is, the more I uncover the existing process, the more I realise there isn't one! I've started a recommendations report but I'm having to be v. careful and gentle in it - I don't want to p*ss the people that have been working that way off too much.

The route I took to work this morning - I'm not going to take again - took me 15 minutes longer - 1 hour and 10 minutes! Found a sneaky part route back this evening which has shaved a few minutes off yesterday's return journey (and I left the office 10 minutes later than I did yesterday). I will find the optimum time efficient route eventually.

I'm seriously hoping Dorset Police (I think I was in Dorset at the time!) subscribe to ACPO's 10% plus 2 over the speed limit for enforcement purposes. On this new sneaky part route back, I'd just come into a 30mph zone and had slowed right down but, as it was downhill, I crept up to 32mph before I realised and started to brake again. It was a couple of seconds after that that I noticed two blokes in high viz jackets with a mobile camera on the verge. The camera may have been facing towards me so I don't think it was a flashy one. If it was, it didn't flash..... The two blokes were scribbling on clipboards so maybe it was trials? But hey, if I am done, it's my own fault and I have no-one to blame but myself.

Right, I'm going to get myself on the outside of a large glass of wine, magically make one chicken breast expand by throwing lots of veg in with it into a hearty stir fry for myself and DS then flop in front of the TV for the evening then have an early night.

Sometimes, this flylady finds her wings just don't want to flap...

:eek:Hope it doesn't result in a fine hun, fingers are crossed for you.

  • If anyone else wants to do the Crimbobingo on quidco PM me. Like pigpen says you can only have 3 people per team i believe.

I was going to join you all, but as I have no money and cannot spend any, even with savings via quidco - I would be letting the side down so thought it best not to...

No, we would still be celebrating Pagan festivals and would celebrate Yule instead..

Exactly, not 'Christ'mas...;) mind you, anything for a good 'ol knees up is good in my books...

What I think is great about it is how everyone, although maybe different cultures, beliefs, ect, still feels it's time to spend with friends, loved ones, or just one special person - take the great football match during the war between England & Germany - it just tends to cut down barriers - I know there are those out there who can't do that for whatever reason, but I am sure that they still think about those that matter to them at this time - it sort of brings everyone together no matter what... (and then, after the rows and tantrums, splits them all up!!! )... Ooooh, sorry, off on a bit of a tangent there... scuuuuse me...:o

Well, that could hve gone better:
Cut finger (trying to get top off empty bleach bottle with a knife, so I could wash it out, yes, I know...)
    Bleached sink
    Washed up
    Broke plate
    Polished dining table
Put all kitchen linen in wash - Sigh...I'm going straight into another HHC to try and finish!!

Hope the rest of the day went better for you Serena - take care... (PS _ If you just hold the bottle upside down in water and squeeze all the air out, you suck up the clean water, then you can swish it about inside and then squeeze it out again to wash it out - saves trying to get the top off - and loosing your fingers in the process!)
bath pup!!! This is a bit of an issue with me and DH, he says its unhygienic to bathe him in the bath, but the outside tap water is freezing, and i think its cruel. Having said that though he looks happy enough when he's out there; it might be me just wanting him contained in 1 room when he gets wet. I am doing it inside today.lucky Marley!:p

I do mine in the bath, and my hubby always says do them in the garden, but it's not just that the tapwaters cold, I'm cold and my hands are like ice when I've finished, so it's all about ME! anyway, I clean and disinfect the bathroom after, wash the shower curtain the lot, so it's a damn site cleaner in there than if you use it after my DS has been in there...:rotfl:
