That's what DD should be doing (in year 3 going to a senior school for "stretching" lessons), only problem is that its 10am on a Saturday morning start (finishing at 4pm I think it was) and I don't drive. Looked into the buses and we'd have to leave here before 9am to get the bus, or walk it. Plus when we realised it was weekends DD wasn't very keen on giving up her only full day with me, or weekends away with ExIt had absolutely nothing to do with me pointing out that she wouldn't be able to have a lie-in as we have to be up and sorted by 11am on a Sunday for ex as it is
:o
When Ds1 did them in yr 6 it was in the afternoon still in school time. The one he's doing now is one lesson every 3 weeks ( in school time ) and an after school meeting once a term.0 -
i bet you are really pleased g + b , glad you are all back home take it easy, and i hope she and you have a good nights sleep0

Lil_me.. hugs for the boys.. poor things.. mine were devastated over our rabbits so I do know what they are like..
GnB.. fabulous news... give her a big fly-hug from us lot and we all hope she is back to her mischief very soon.... DD1 was terrible for chest infections.. she was ill when she was born and wasn't right until she was nearly 4!!
Christmas presents all sorted into relevant children and I've done WAY better than I thought..
DD1, DD4, DD5, DS2 and DS3 are done!! WOOHOO!!!!!!!
My sisters, mother, stepdad and unborn as yet niece are done. Need to get something for my sisters OH.. they don't have children so I need to get him something.. so far I've got him a mug filled with sweets... any ideas?? He is Australian so any 'traditional' Ozzy christmas things would be good??.. anyone???
DS1 isn't getting much more.. he can have a bunch of books and some quids for clothes etc I think... ready for the sales!.. and either me or hubby will go with him.. might have to be me or they'll kill each other lol.
DD1 hasn't got a huge amount but we are paying £360 plus the price of a passport for her to go to Lourdes in May with school.
DD3 needs some more stuff she has the least.. she is my whingy whiny one and right now I am finding it very difficult to think anything very much positive about her she is driving me crazy.
DD2 needs books and she is done..
I need to get a DS game or 2 for DD5 and a few Wii games for the boys.
And I need a main gift for hubby..
Before then though I have another 2 birthdays.. DD5 next Tuesday and DD3 on the 19th Dec.
Re the Wii..
Would a very coordinated only just 8 year old be able to do the Wii Fit?
Is there a singstar type thing for the Wii?
Any other ideas for an 8 year old very much needed!
AND.. I've bought nothing that needs a million batteries!!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

Hi Soappie, glad the new position went well for you today - good luck with sorting more out tomorrow...nice story but pitty it wouldnt be true...
in reall life all farm animals have to have a purpose...and a dog that wont work or sell would of been drowned.....
but still you can hope cant you
Not quite true - my uncle had a farm and always tried to house the runts (usually, believe it or not, the easiest to home as people often felt sorry for them) plus he never charged for them...
Other farmers in the area would often do the same too... some animals yes, you can only have a working farm with healthy animals/livestock, but with 'pets' (even working sheepdogs) they would try to rehome wherever possible - he even kept one once - we all used to call it 'gimpy' and he was adorable...gunsandbanjos wrote: »We are finally home:D
So pleased you're LO is home now G&B - I know it's still going to be a while till she's fully recovered and is probably on steroids and stuff, but I'm sure that now she's out of hospital she will make a more speedy recovery... :T

Fly lady...must of been a difference of areas....
I grew up outside Pencader a run down area of Wales..in a farming community that thought Swansea was to far to go in one day..
We had the biggest Primary school in the area (98 kids max)...ANd most of the summer all the boys were collected by the local farmers to help get the hay in or lambs...or turkeys/geese..depending what time of year it wasTHE SHABBY SHABBY FOUNDER0
