    OJK good luck!
Valli I wonder if that's all stores? Ah, it is but limited to 6 bottles per customer, don't think it's worth the extra fuel costs to morrisons for me.

Well last night I got up at half time to do washer/dryer, again at 3.45am to do washer/dryer again then up at 8am so had quite a bit of sleep, DP was up anyway so watched DS1 who didn't sleep until later, even if it was broken in the middle, yet I am yawning my head off, oversleep I think. Back does feel better however.

Need to get some laundry sorted today aswell as the other normal stuff, got this overflow of clean/dry clothes in my bedroom
One day I might be more organised...........

I've done a bit more vacuuming. Its overheated again so just waiting for it to cool down so I can finish doing our bathroom. Then I'm going to have a shower and go into town..
My house is looking fab...it still needs decorationg and decluttering in places etc but its now clean and tidy. Someone could pop in and it would be fine.
I love how everything feels when I feel organised...I don't know why I can't keep it like this. I guess it proves the point that we are meant to live in community...thanks guys...

  • OJK - bit late, I know, but good luck!

Back from vets and sitting down with a :coffee::coffee::coffee::coffee::coffee::coffee:if anyone would like one.

Puppies are fine, so I've come back with wormer and flea treatment. I could have rehomed them several times, but there was one lady there who had a Westie with her. He was picked up from the Cardiff pound on Monday, believed to be around 8 years old and found straying. He was lovely natured, but coat badly needs attention(recommended DS's work experience place as the vet had cards on the counter! :p He seems to have a couple of problems, which is probably why he was out on his own, but he's got a good home there!

    Morning all

Had a nice long lie in once DH had set off to his exam at 7.30am.

dusty - what kind of exams are you invigilating?

    Toots is fab, I agree.

Not managed to read the thread yet, just having a look at the M&S and Debenhams sites (when Dhams isn't crashing!) Hoping I can spend my M&S loyalty vouchers online as can get a very good deal on wine today.

Hoped to go out shopping today in the town but don't really think I've time now, bit annoyed as I've booked the dentist for a filling 12noon tomorrow which eats into the whole day! Oh well. Might do some shopping from the comfort of the sofa.

And flying, yes, I'll post a list in a second. DH will be home at 1ish after final exam so I imagine we won't do much this aft, maybe a wander up the high street and lots of playing on the wii!

  • Well I've got no energy whatsoever today, my arms and legs feel like lead. I had to do a really short walk with the pooch today. I'm fed up because I can't go to M&S... I quite simply couldn't walk round the shop! BAH!!!!!!

Ahh well! My lovely Dad is going to do the school pick up, and I'm going to stay warm and do some knitting... yes.. I can knit!! :D These days I really enjoy just going back and forth, and giving it no thought whatsoever. Consequently I'm making the girls blankets made of squares. They really like how it looks  to each their own I guess! I hated patchwork when I was their age. :)

I second all the positive comments about toots. Everyone has something positive about them, I think some people just struggle to say nice things about themselves, or even to accept compliments. :T :T :T :T :T :T all of us, as we are all special individuals who need to feel happy about ourselves and what we have in this world!
    See you all later.

  • Really need to stick to a room and just do it...

Have just been upstairs to take the IRONING up (yes, I've ironed loads..., don't faint), where I saw the terrapin tank, so decided to empty it as it was awful and DS hasn't done it, so I have just spent the last 45 mins doing that, not the fridge as I was going to (mmmm, not a good mixture  ) so now need to re-do the bathroom (only place you can clean out stuff from a terrapin tank )... am going to finish kitchen now coz that will be it then in there...

Well done Valli, looking good... :D

A few years ago I went for kinetic something or other (where your muscles are "asked" questions  Something along those lines) and I was given a list of "affirmations" which I had to stick up all over the place and repeat to myself. It was impossible for me. It's hard to explain how. I do suffer from an inferiority complex though :o

Self affirmation is great, but very hard to do - it means changing the habit of a lifetime doesn't it, and your mind will fight change at every step.

IF there is any way you can do this WITHOUT the wall reminders (It's a private thing to me, so should be private - maybe you can do it in your head, or a small notebook you can keep with you and only get out when you need it) it really helps - we are so used to saying self prophesising (sp?) statements like "I can't do that, I'm useless, why do they like me?" etc... and we never say "I'm brilliant, I can do this, Everyone loves me", etc... and we really should... and we wonder why we question ourselves at every turn :D .(by the way, I'm as bad, was having trouble with 5 things myself, not now, I'm great!!! :rotfl: ) Do you think I've read too many self help books?????
