  • Obviously communication isn't your strongest point, but then I guess you don't need vast skills to ask if someone wants to supersize their meal or to point out where the condiments are..

There you go...endearing yourself to all and sundry again.

I'm sure that there are many in higher education who have worked in fast food joints.

Personally I did work there part time as a teenager and managed to retire from any kind of work in my twenties.
I dare say I'm a lot more successful than you in this respect.

So why don't you quit whilst you only look like an idiot?

Have you actually got any friends? :D

ram is fine, it is difficult to help without some metrics or detail about the slowness. the cpu usage is ok, but the blips are a little high, you can see which application causes the blips in task manager, processes tab, click on cpu to sort into order

is it slow to boot, how slow.
    slow internet?
    are there 2 ethernet cards?

the blips are just caused by whatever it is im trying to do, open a new browser, word etc. other than that taskmgr and firefox are on 2-5 and everything else sits on 0.

booting time i'm not sure, doesnt seem particularly slow and internet is fine (i'm assuming you mean connection speed) and i have one ethernet adapter and one "1394 adapter"

as i say it doesnt seem to have slowed down considerably after any one thing, just a gradual process over the years which is why i thought a fresh install would be the answer
