Glass Candlesticks for wedding table decs

An even cheaper idea.... we planted up pots of fresh live flowers for the tables, and invited people to take them home. Not all did, and a gardener friend at the wedding planted the leftovers into the garden where we had the reception the next morning

You could have fresh flowers with a candlestick in the middle.....:):):)Ex board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).0 -
Are you going to select the guests who get to keep the candlesticks?
I was just thinking that to solve any (potential) arguements, you could have sort of a table 'lucky dip'2014 Target;

I was planning on giving them to the Mam's and a couple of close people who have helped out.
It also saves on buying the traditional bouquets - partly because the wedding is at Easter which is also a magic price increase word at the florists, and partly as we're getting married away from home, so bouquets would have to survive an overnight stay in the hotel and a long car journey home! Just seems a waste of money when the flowers will probably wilt before they can be enjoyed.Here I go again on my own....0 -
I think it's a lovely idea... I was given a glass candlestick when I was a bridesmaid (many moons ago :snow_laug ) and it still has pride of place on my shelf... they're classic, wont date and will go with any interior they may be placed in....
have fun decorating them becles! 0 -

Instead of paying out on floral table decorations, I thought I could buy candlesticks as above, and make a thin band of silk flowers to trail down the stems in the wedding colours. I can then give them to selected wedding guests to take home afterwards.
The ones in the picture are £21.50 or £24 which is far to much when I need a 12 candlesticks.
I would be really grateful if anyone spots anything similar and a lot cheaper on their travels round the web or shops.
Hi Becles... don't know if you still need these, but I saw the exact pair (the white company) in Boots, on sale for £8 a pair....:D0 -
Thanks, but I got married in April!
I went for your suggestion from the candlelight company, and I was thrilled to bits with them
Here's one of the tables so you can see what it looked like:

The 3 children each got a Lindt bunny as it was Easter, as I thought they'd prefer them to whisky minitures :cool:
There's also foil star shaped confetti and foil covered chocolate Easter Eggs in the centre!Here I go again on my own....0 -
Congratulations! And the table looks absolutely gorgeous!:D
