    As an eeepc user, I can't recommend them highly enough. I use the 701 as a second laptop, and for MSN, surfing & writing quick documents or a short homework assignment, it can't be beaten.
    Having Linux (rather than XP) as it's operating system, means that it doesn't look like 'normal' pcs, but it is very easy to use and ideal for non-computer people. It's not better or worse than Windows XP, it'sjust different. (Now there's a contentious statement ;))
    One final point to make, these little machines seem well made. Having a small solid state drive means that if you knock them off the arm of your settee, they are much more likely to be usable than a larger laptop!

    Is this the very best Asus Eee PC you would recommend spec wise by that manufacturer?

    It has Inbuilt Webcam and sound wise not sure what it would be like

    I have been told that Wimax thats 4G (google it) to people that do not know will be available early next year
    even with the recession in full swing?

    Should I hold till just after Christmas for best deal.?
