Orange contract help needed?

I started a 12month contract last April with Orange - with a Samsung d500 phone. However my phone is now wrecked but I have no insurance to seek a replacement phone. I hjave no bother with the current contract and would like to extend it for a further 12 months probaly. Is there any options avaible to me now so I could upgrade the phone (perhaps the samsung d600) and extend the contract for a further 12 months?

your best bet would be to call orange customer services... depending on the amount you spend each month they may well offer you a free upgrade, i tihnk you're helped in this situation by the fact that you're 8 months into your current contract....

You could certainly give them a call and they'd give you a cost on a new upgrade phone, i guess their decision will really depend on whether it will be beneficial to them...

worst case scenario is that you have to fork out for the remaining 4 months line rental to end the contract early... but that's unlikely to happen.

My line of thought/action would be:

1) Call orange and ask about a price for an upgrade if you were to commit another 12 months...
2) consider whether this is a good deal for you or not...
3) put sim card in old phone and use that for a few months until you get to the end of the contract.
4) at end of contract call orange again to see if they'll offer you a better contract and free upgrade, if not go elsewhere!
