No its not all up and running and has been a nightmare to fit in!! why are things never easy!!! The plug will is not aslong as the old one and wouldnt reach the socket! So he had to make a whole in the plaster so it can go up to a different one (lucky we havent got round to putting the tiles on yet-long term plan is to run a new socket down to behind the washing machine) Then thats sorted and the water pipe is aboout 2 cms to short!! so we need to get a new one tomorrow!!
Oh well hopefully it will be sorted in the morning......and we have somebody coming round for the old one in the morning so glad we have got rid of that one!
I would of been the same in my head in the sand days!!we have prob spent all the extra money saved on some beers tonight as dh was stressed and then got a chinese plus the new pipe tomorrow!

The washing machine is all working now!! and i have done a few loads of washing.
Today on the money saving side of things i havent really done much - done my scratchcard and checked online banking! Also we needed some new storage for the girls rooms so i have moved the bookshelf which was in our room into there and put some of there toys and storage boxes on there- looks ok and saves us buying a new thing....Also have lots of books i can sell now. Had a look on amazon and some of the ones are only going for 1p though so might just send them to the charity shop, checked one of the others and they go for £15 so not to bad - will have a search through some more tomorrow and try and list some (havent sold on amazon before)
Dh cooked the frozen curry i had put in the freezer - which was good as i was sooo tired i couldnt be bothered to cook
Done lots of cleaning and housework today so house looks a bit better....Joined the SAHM's getting organised 2009 thread so hopefully it will help give me the kick to organise my life!!!! On thursday i brought a birthday book from the chrity shop and i have filled it in with everyones bdays and anniversarys (that i could think of....) and also went through all the cards i had and put them in the right mths! Will buy them at least a mth in advance or when on offer so that it doesnt mean any mad expensive ones from our local spar!!
Also sorting out a list of all the things i want to do daily and weekly so i can be more organised!! will prob add it on here aswell when i have written it all up.....(I know its not really money saving but it all helps in some way)
Of to have a little read before im going to bed - going to have a nice lie in tomorrow as i let dh stay in bed till 11 so think it should be my turn tomorrowGC: Nov: £60.22/£450 Oct: £338.48/£450, July: £363.05/£450, June £447.98/£500£2 savers No68: £104/£100 :j:jmummy to: 8yr, 5yr, 3yr, 2yr, 1yr. well this morning i have put in some bread for the bm...it has just finished but it looks like it isnt cooked!! I hope that just because i put it on a light mode so will be nice and soft. i will get it out soon and see what its like..
I also have dinner in the slow cooked, got a big lump of gammon ham which we will have for dinner tonight and then for lunch for the next few days.
I have a few books here next to me which i am going to see if i can list on amazon. I am going to hold of the ebay stuff for a little while as i think things might not sell as much as its january.....
Scratch card for yesterday was 70p and today was 20p so adding up. Havent been doing so well with my daily clicks but trying to do them as much as possible.
Been trying to be a little more organised and spend more time with the girls with out feeling guilty about the housework etc.... Got a routine made up for the morning and afternoon/evening. Did ok with the evening one last night but i couldnt drag myself out of bed before the girls got up this morning so didnt get it all done before the school run, but did it as soon as i got back. DD2 is in bed at the moe (well i think i might of just heard her playing so will have to check if she is asleep...) So im going to look at these amazon books and see about listing, then check out the flylady thread and see if i can atleast do the level one!! Going to try and do that everyday this week...Also hang washing and do lunch washing up!!
Going to have a nsd today. Paid £3 to my pad pot today. I had £8 left from last weeks budget so i put the £3 in and kept the £5 for this week just incase i need it but i hope to have lots left at the end of the mth....
Dh has not taken his money today as he said he didnt need it so didnt want to blow it!! Which i thought was good of him, but he has phoned up to say he still has the bank card in his wallet from the weekend so i hope he doesnt use it..........
Catch up later. xx
I hope pips mum is ok and doing well with her little bundle. xxxGC: Nov: £60.22/£450 Oct: £338.48/£450, July: £363.05/£450, June £447.98/£500£2 savers No68: £104/£100 :j:jmummy to: 8yr, 5yr, 3yr, 2yr, 1yr. No6 Due Mar 2013 My world.:j0 -
hiya mummy,i too find it hard to fit everything in!! glad your new washing machine is up and running.
in my bm, the bread does look a little on the pale side but is cooked and nice and soft, just takes a few loafs to get used to the look of it.
where did you get your gammon from?? i do a gammon joint abd use for ham in sarnies. always get mr a's smart price one but finding its more fat than owt else now and paying over a fiver and its not a big joint!
one more question, which slow cooker have you got and what sort of stuff can you do in it really?? i know some do a full chicken but could you just put chicken legs in?? thinking of getting one for when i go back to work (so ds1 and my fella dont live on beans on toast) but know they would quickly get sick of casseroles and mince........December 2018: £20,850.24. hi rags - i get mine from the market but it can change in price everytime - this time was £5.99 and onlu just fits in the slow cooker!!!
I have got a rival one, it has a high, low and keep warm setting. Also im not sure what size it is but its big for us and i can even do some so its got left overs to freez in there! and i cook lots in it like - curry and mince dish (spag bol, chillie, shepards pie - the mince part) Also casserols - chicken, beef sausage.....ummm what else have i done......cant think!!lol. But there is a thread on the os which is called in my slow cooker today - or something like that and there are soooo many recepies and ideas on there!! I try to cook with that as often as i can as i can shove it all in and forget about it till later, can also add the lentils etc and dh hasnt even noticed them.....oh and i have done rice pudding in there and its LOVELY!!! yum yum.
Well i have done all i wanted to do and also listed 6 things on amazon....Hopefuly they will sell and i get a little for them but i didnt check the postage so not to sure, but only one is really heavy and the other ones were all listed at £14 so will make more then the postage if it does sell.....Its so much easier aswell so i think i will list all books dvds etc on there now and you only get charged if it sells!! I think the fees are aa little more then ebay but after you pay your paypal fees etc its prob not more...
Anyway going to have a nice cup of tea (and nose around mse!!) and then sweep the hall and kitchen and mop it as the dog just decided to run through with wet paws!!!!!then pick up dd1!!GC: Nov: £60.22/£450 Oct: £338.48/£450, July: £363.05/£450, June £447.98/£500£2 savers No68: £104/£100 :j:jmummy to: 8yr, 5yr, 3yr, 2yr, 1yr. think our market is crap compared to everyone elses!!!!! dont have a decent fruit and veg stall (it goes rotten really quickly) or a meat stall........December 2018: £20,850.24. Now: £18,333.02 Total paid in 2019: £2517.22

im lucky as i live near a little old market town and it has kept the market - only there once a week and there is a farmers market once a mth. But it has 3 fruit and veg stalls and one meat one so i get to look at the once and pick the nicest looking!!
as well as lots of other stalls.... but i never go enough!! and spend to much when i do go as everything looks so nice......
The market in the nearest town to me is rubbish! It sells more things like books and shoes but the food stalls are horrible!!!GC: Nov: £60.22/£450 Oct: £338.48/£450, July: £363.05/£450, June £447.98/£500£2 savers No68: £104/£100 :j:jmummy to: 8yr, 5yr, 3yr, 2yr, 1yr. No6 Due Mar 2013 My world.:j0
