Close but you still don't win a cookie.;) I double checked the size and it is 210mm x 16.5mm x 1.5mm. I can't see why you could not go a little thicker than 1.5mm though.
Totally agree with the last post. I was given a web site of https://www.gr8spares.co.uk but this was the one which is always out of stock. Srewfix then gave me a telephone number to call and guess what...... it was the same company using a different name.:mad:0 -
d.edna, you need to learn how to formulate an argument before you abuse people.
For the record, the following verbal devices:
Err righhhhhhhhhhhhhhhht
Huh?
Just click here I don't really care what you think; and
Your argument is flawed
are not arguments, they are merely vacant defence and gainsay and therefore of no value.
For your other comments, I will iterate that I was not saying you had a go at the OP, I said you had a go at Halloway, and there being blades on ebay is no thanks to the manufacturer.
Nilrem, in the post after yours, is broadly saying what you are saying (i.e. disagreeing with me) but he/she has managed to do so intelligently and with manners - I suggest you try to learn something from this.
PS I didn't know you no longer worked at Tesco's (how could I?) but it has no affect on my argument in any case.0 -

I'm sorry but I feel this is being dragged off topic. The fact of the matter is that I can not obtain the most basic consumable part for this machine and no one seems capable to explain a simple resolution.
As I stated earlier i.e if you purchase a car and then when it needs basic wear and tear parts( may it be spark plugs/brake pads/clutch plate ect). Then you expect to be able to go to the garage were you purchased the car and either get them or indeed be told who to get them from. Otherwise your purchase is rendered useless in a very short time

Sorry Marty-401, it's just she does this in every thread I've seen her in and it's just not necessary.
But I realise I am allowing myself to get dragged to her level and distracting the thread from the assistance you were after.
My way of attempting to compensate for this was to call Screwfix and ask if they supplied blades, to which they gave me Erbauer's number. Is it the same number they gave you? 08456 076380? If not, give that a go. I presume, by the way, that your machine is this:
http://www.screwfix.com/prods/81126/Power-Tools/Benchtop-Woodworking/Erbauer-ERB-052-BTE-204mm-Planer-Thicknesser ?
The nice lady on the phone did say that all Erbauer's products are guaranteed for 2 years - I don't suppose this is much help to you unless you can get the receipt off your workmates but I thought I'd mention it anyway. Also I don't know whether the guarantee covers normal wear and tear on the blades.
Incidentally, the 5-digit number contained in the above link, 81126, is the product reference if I have the right link. You'll probably need that if you are lucky enough to find someone helpful on the phone at Erbauer.
I apologise if I've told you nothing new - I don't believe there is any legal redress against firms that fail to provide parts for the machines they make and/or supply, so there may not BE a satisfactory answer, but I would suggest you keep hammering at the door (unless your hammer's broken too and the manufacturer can't supply a new head) until they give you THEIR definitive answer.
I suppose that is the frustrating thing - if they just said there are no parts for this/they've been discontinued/there may be parts but we don't know where etc. at least you would know where you stood with them.0
