Any advice on switching from SKY for cheaper service?

Hi,
I'm with sky for broadband, tv and phone calls.
It costs £47 for sports 1 and 3 mixes, broadband(not sure what kind but we never download just surf) and calls - we never use the landline.
We also have to pay BT £11 for line rental.
So we pay nearly £60. Can anyone suggest something cheaper??
I know that we are not tied in with Bt but we've only had sky approx 6 months so I'm unsure.
So what I want to know is; Can I change my landline provider to someone cheaper? Can I change my Sky to someone cheaper - or will I be tied in? can someone provide all three? Is there any offers on cashback sites?
PHEW!
Thanks in advance

cancel the sports packs, drop to basic entertainment packs, save £20+/month

if you have only had the sky, including broadband, 6 months, then you are under contract and may not be able to change providerUtinam logica falsa tuam philosophiam totam suffodiant.0 -
I'd echo the above comments.
To correct a common misconception, every time you look at a page on the internet, that page has to be downloaded to your computer. Thus surfing is downloading. That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -
You can get Line Rental / Free Calls / Broadband and tv from Tiscali.
£15.99 (1st 3 months) then £19.99 for weekend talk and £19.99(1st 3 months) then £24.99 for anytime talk. Their customer service is not the best though.
Check if you can get Virgin.
Bt are expensive but do tv too.0 -
Don't be so silly, making out things are much worse than they really are.Thats an understatement. Avoid like the plague.
Bubonic plague is now treatable and curable in a relatively short time, tiscali takes at least 12 months to 'cure', or end the contract, so much worse than the plague

I have a FTA (Free to Air) satellite system for TV and use a separate provider for phone and broadband. I pay no monthly charge for hundreds of TV channels and only have to pay a flat fee every month for broadband and phone. This works out far cheaper than bundling them all together. I'd suggest getting a FTA system and shopping around for phone & broadband. If you never use the landline, maybe you could use mobile internet or a wireless internet provider instead, and save money on line rental. I'd hate to see your mobile phone bills though! :eek:0
