Carmine....I think when it comes to Ebico we need a bit of positive discrimination, they may not be the cheapest for electric but their way is how the big boys should go. Don't confuse ethics with price.0

It seems to me quite appalling that energy prices keep going up for the consumer despite wholesale prices going down. I would urge everyone to complain to their energy suppliers:
I'm with Southern electric, have done a bit of research and the personal email address of the Managing Director is: ian.marchant@scottish-southern.co.uk
Here's a draft letter you can use:Dear Sir,
I am writing to express my concern about the cost of my energy bills this winter, despite falls
in the cost of crude oil, wholesale gas and wholesale electricity since the summer of 2008.
I understand the reasons why my bills have gone up this year, but now believe you are in a
position to put a firm date on when they will go down again. Oil prices are now at roughly one
third the level they were in July 2008, and wholesale gas prices have reduced by up to 40%
since August 2008.
I have considered your comments on this on the BBC “Watchdog” website, but still believe
my bills this winter are higher than they ought to be.
Therefore, in light of the reduced cost to you over the coming months, I would be grateful if
you could confirm exactly when you will be passing this reduction on to customers such as
myself.
And obviously, as I have a choice of energy supplier, I shall be monitoring the position of
your competitors on this very closely indeed.
Yours faithfully,
YOUR NAME0
