Phone Insurance

Hi I have just got the new blackberry storm and forgot to insure it. Is it the chepaest option just to go with my networks insurance or are there other offers out there which are cheaper? Any advice would be much appreciated. Cheers.

  • Personally dont insure my phones (rightly or wrongly). Its best to shop around various insurance providers.

Do you have Home Contents Insurance? If so see if that covers you. In terms of insure or not to insure, check what your phone will cost to buy on a pay as you go tariff, work out the annual phone company insurance costs, length of phone contract and then decide. When I got the last phone for my OH the phone was just under £100 and the insure would have cost £84 on a 12 month contract so I decided not to both. Worst I would loose £16, best is I save £84.
