I am new to this and hope this reply is the correct area to post.
I would advise anyone who paid on debit card to attempt a chargeback and remember if you bought a multi trip voucher valid for 2 years then the 120 day rule applies from the valid until date i.e don't let the bank fob you off with the fact that you bought the ticket over 120 days ago and so cannot claim (if it is still valid or expired within 120 days ago you can still claim).
I have just received a full refund using Chargeback from Barclays within 5 days of them receiving my detailed claim. However I am concerned that they have today written to me saying the refund is pending the outcome of more detailed investigations and I must wait 6 weeks until they complete these. Does this mean that they can take back this refund?0 -
Barclaycard have just refunded the full amount for my unused 10-trip ticket. A friend of mine had used a few of the crossings on his ticket and has now received the pro-rata refund that he asked for.RubyLorelei wrote: »Has anyone sucessfully obtained a refund for the above yet from their credit card company? What information/details did Barclaycard require from you? I lodged a claim with Mastercard a few weeks ago and they've just asked me to send the booking reference details for my 2 unused flex vouchers.0 -
Initially I sent them the Section 75 template letter from this website together with a copy of the credit card statement detailing the payment. They replied asking that I contact the administrators first to ask if there was any chance of getting my money back, and to pass on their response. I'd already had the email that the administrators had sent to creditors saying that if your loss was less than 10% of Speedferries total debt you stood no chance. I sent that to Barclaycard and the refund followed a couple of weeks after. It must be true, I read it on Wikipedia0

Hello, I have been refunded in full on my Visa Credit card by smile internet bank. There was a slight hold-up due to misplaced documents over Christmas, but I'm happy to have had the refund.
Don't know if anyone's noticed, but the Eurotunnel shareholder discount has been reinstated. Sorry about Speedferries though. I'll think twice about booking bulk crossings in future.0 -
Just had a full £500 credit from Amex for 2 blocks of 10 Speedferries tickets (unused), so as well as the £207 we got back from Capital One last month I have managed a full refund on the £707 that was credit with Speedferries at the time they went under. Phew!
We are currently travelling over on Seafrance £48 return crossings, and a 10 trip block with Eurotunnel at £39 each way.0
