hello. not 20% off news (although this is now definately happening) but another discount of interest. don't buy all your chrimbo booze in this offer, as next monday (24th Nov) there will be 25% off all beers,wines,spirits when you buy 6. I think there is also a small voucher in the wine booklet displayed by the wines in most stores which has another 10% off when you buy 6. overall a saving of 28% (they do the percentages seperate rather than all in one) so much better than the 20% off!!!

No worries. I'm an employee (although don't like to admit it) but have had a day off today, when all staff were told, so I'm not sure of the ins and outs of the 20% offer, but it's deffo going ahead, added to my 20% staff discount I'll be getting trolleys full (well, I'll push the trolley, and the other half will fill it up, and I'll pay) :rolleyes:

There's absolutely no news of the offer on the website yet, and I wouldn't have thought that online shopping would be included either. If they do advertise it will be everywhere. TV, newspapers etc etc, so I'm sure everyone will know about it

It will be announced in press, radio and tv from tomorrow, and it will be for online sales from midnight to midnight on Thursday - only wine included - not beer or spirits.

Yes the tills will be set up exactly the same so you will get the glitch of the 20% off the free item as well!!!!

So just to confirm for those of us who can't get in to a store on Thursday - the discount will apply to online sales on Thursday only? So if I stay up til midnight tomorrow night, it should be on the website? Sorry to be a pest, but online is the only way for some of us!

Yes that is right - there will be no ordering in store on that day - or extension of the 20% for the public - or honouring the 20% discount for items out of stock - it is one day only.

Aparently it is 20% off everything bar a few bits and bobs. also, all aparently, the dine for two for £10 will be on too. all got from a unreliable source, but will be advertised everywhere by tomorrow

Thanks for the online info, would be gutted if I had to sit this one out but with 2 little ones, a hospital appointment, a Drs appointment and a clinic appointment there's just no chance of getting into the nearest town!
