He doesnt speak for days  I am sorry but that is really not on!!!!!

We have always had a rule that we never go to bed without resolving an argument just incase one of us dies in our sleep, its a bit of a strange and macabre reason but it does make us stick to the rule.................just in case:o

He's told me (in friendly times)that he does it because he knows I hate it. He does it to wind me up.

I asked way before we got married if we could have the same rule Lou, possibly why he behaves like this now, silly !!!!!!

Well I would go up to bed with him, put on some sexy underwear, get him all hot and bothered and then point out that you dont have sex with people who arent speaking to you;) :D

    An inspired idea! :j

    OH KNICKERS!

then go with what Lou said. what would happen if you behaved as tho nothing had happened? I mean surely he doesn't ignore you?

I know it sounds a bit bonkers, and i don't have kids but I would have thought that having a teenager it would be really important to have your ground rules sorted? cos she will more then likely start to push at boundaries and play sides. Its not fair that you have to be the tough one who says no and then he swans in all yes to everything.

Erm, yes he does, he's an almost 40 year old teenager ;)

I agree, if we dont unite soon, we're (I'm) going to be in for a tough time

It's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.

OK now I am really cross:mad: ...........If his silence was "just the way he dealt with arguments" then I would be slighly more understanding but if he is doing it to get at you then its not fair. OK he may do it to wind you up for a couple of hours..............but to do it for days is quite cruel in my opinion.

See that slap you felt like giving him yesterday, give him one from me too:rolleyes:
But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.

I am so mad on your behalf Spud, if the ex gets in touch today I shall be furious! he could do the silent treatment really well - and had this whole thing about everything being fine, no problem and then not speaking to me/ignoring me for a few days. It was the worst thing he did and I found it impossible not to get really upset and feel so guilty and stuck.

I do need to go and tidy my room (who 's a teenager now!) but I will be back later hugs for ((((((((((((((spud)))))))))))))))) and see you all later xxx

I usually do ours around 2 weeks before. Any longer, and they get wrecked by the cats and dog. By Boxing Day, I'm desperate to take them down :D
