Icesave Second email- week 2

This is a f***ing scandal! It's nearly midday and noone has received a second email. Their system is presumably sitting there idle as everyone who was eligible to claim yesterday would have done so by now. I'm beginning to edge closer to the NonGeographicMan camp, to wit: the FSCS is stringing this out as long as possible for some monetary gain.
Give me my goddamn money!0 -

But it is a very useful bit of fun :T
There are lots of rumours flying around that the FSCS was running a 'trial' last week with a relatively small number of Icesavers sent second emails. There are suggestions (though I think that the FSCS have not yet updated their site to say so officially) that the number of emails will be ramped up this week. And the poll will give us some guide to see if this is true...
Now, back to that novel...Every rule has an exception.......:rolleyes20 -
Typical sod's law. I stayed away from the internet all day yesterday believing it to be the sensible way to stop me from obsessively checking my email every ten minutes and the second email arrived at 09:29 yesterday morning  Oh well, the claim has gone in now and I did spend a very productive day buried in a junk novel instead0

to be fair everyone who has an account doesnt come on here
Yes, but if you consider how many people who do come on here were sent 2nd emails last week (i.e. quite a few), and last week was a tester run, then surely we should be seeing a great deal more action by now - 1.11 pm on the first day of the first week of full capacity email output.
NonGeographicalMan is right - they simply have not allocated the funds and are stringing out the payout process.0 -
To quote oql61: " they simply have not allocated the funds and are stringing out the payout process."

I've had this in the back of my mind since they started this process but didn't want to tempt fate by voicing my fears. Let's hope we are wrong!“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0 -
To be fair, I never received my second email, but I just logged in to the claim site 5 minutes ago, and was able to put the claim through.
This might have something to do with my email server being a smoking ruin on my bedroom floor, so take this as an unrelated anecdoteDebts (26.3% remaining) - CC/BARC: [strike]2058[/strike] 100.00 @0%; CC/MBNA: [strike]1877.75[/strike] 0.00; Loan/SLC: [strike]10000[/strike] 7901.84 @1.5%; Loan/Per: [strike]1500[/strike] 0.00; Loan/HX: [strike]15000[/strike] 0.00

If that were the case, then that means they will now be sending 15,000 to 20,000 emails a day to achieve their target of completing the exercise by the end of November.
I do not believe its a funding issue, the money for this compensation was allocated and in any case is probably done out of their overdraft facility since they have to get it back from the banks who subscribe to the compensation scheme"How could I have been so mistaken as to trust the experts" - John F Kennedy 19620
