Espagnolette window locks broken - help

Hi all
I have 3 windows where the handles have broken so I can no longer lock the windows. I have taken off the handle and the Espagnolette lock (sound like i know what im talking about eh) and the problem is the part where the handle connects into the Espagnolette lock has broken so when you turn the handle the slider does not move along. I dont fancy getting the window company out as they will undoubtedly try and flog me new windows which i dont need or charge me a small fortune.
My question is how do i know which Espagnolette lock to buy off the internet? Ive had a look at a few but no of them look identical to the one i have. If i was to take some photos would one of you experts be able to advise which one to buy and where from
heres hoping
many thanks
emma

The locks dont look exactly the same as mine unless they have others which arent pictured. I have taken some pics bt cant seem to see how to upload them on here - it appears you can only supply a link to pics elsewhere on the internet

yes you have to upload your photos first to a hosting site, such as photobucket.
then link them to here.Get some gorm.0 -

Hi I had to change mine a few months ago, I found the bit where handle fits into had cracked, I went to a local window manufacture who was going to charge £1 but gave it to me for nothing, i'm sure the part you are after is bought on the length, when i fitted mine I had to move the catches on the frame.0

thats exactly what has happened to mine. if you look at the first two pics i posted the part where the handle connects into has cracked so when your turn the handle the mechanism does not move the slider along. I had a look but thought that you couldnt get this part out so would need to but the whole Espagnolette lock again.. The problem i was having was trying to find exactly the same model so it was an easy replacement.
If i could get the cracked part out and replace just that would be much cheaper and easier !0 -
You'll need a 25mm mila offset lock, hard to tell exactly from the picture but it's either an 800mm or 600mm lock, would guess at 600, the size is relevant to the size of the sash. If you can't get mila any offset will probably fit, though tou may ned to move the keeps on the frame to line up with the bolts on the lock. Hope this helps0

Never used the company, but it looks like the locks you're after. I just googled "Mila offset espag lock". Sorry for the delay in posting, was dragged out shoping0
