Xbox 360 anyone advise please

If you go for the Arcade version, then you'll want to keep the old Xbox as the 360 is not backward compatible if it doesn't have a hard drive.
But you may find you can trade in the old Xbox at Game/Gamestation for some money off a 360 Premium.
You may also be interested to know that Microsoft is releasing a BIG update to the Xbox 360 dashboard next week. The update will allow games to be cached on the hard drive when the disc is inserted. Once it's cached, the disc will stop spinning and the game will be played from the HDD, making it quieter and possibly faster too.
So there's two obvious benefits (IMHO) to getting a Premium (or Elite).
HTHThe pen is mightier than the sword, and considerably easier to write with.
