    I agree with cheets99, you need to find out where the problem lies, might not be any faulty item, may just be a short or something not seated correctly. I repaired two friends computers last month with the similar signs as yours, one a short from the mainboard to the case, the other was memory not seated correctly (needed a wiggle to seat it).

    Best thing is as cheets99 suggests, take the board out and assemble on desk outside of the case as shorts are common and parts may not be seated properly.

    The other issue I had with a friends was a faulty power supply, would spin up the fans and devices etc, but nothing to main board, a test connecting to another PC power supply proved this, easy £10 fix.

    No point spending money on new kit when you already have it, it's just a frustrating time finding the fault, but keep at it.
