COVENTRY BS login problem- AGAIN

Tried twice to log in then phoned Coventry to query before getting locked out. They think it must have been the question of 'My first school'.
They reset things so I could have three more goes...all failed.
I know I entered my details correctly.
Now I've got to go through the whole performance of form sending and waiting again.

Just wondering if anyone else has had problems with login details with Coventry BS?

Applied for the account about a month ago and after much messing about with ID I received the form to choose a password & three memorable words.

Sent it straight back in their pre-paid envelope but they say they never received it.

Then had to wait for another form to be sent for me to choose password etc again.
Sent that one back with new password as soon as I received it.
Finally received WEB ID. Logged in straight away to see for myself the substantial funds that I'd transferred while waiting for WEB ID. :j

Now I'm quite meticulous in keeping passwords etc and log in to accounts with other banks/building societies without a problem.

Good job it's a fixed 6.25% 12 month easy access account or I'd be moving it.

Oh, I feel better for that grumble.

    Anybody had similar problem?
  • Never a problem with them. I'm quite impressed in fact and I like it when I transfer money from my HSBC current account and it shows up in my Cov BS account usually within a couple of hours.

That's what I wanted to do today. I wanted to see if the money I transferred from Barclays this morning reached my Coventry account by this afternoon.

I presume both banks have to have the faster payments scheme for it to arrive a few hours later? So if Barclays have the scheme it should be as quick.

Like road runner i was very impressed at the speed of opening up the poppy bond this week, applied Monday and by lunchtime Wednesday had got funds out of B and B and into the new account.

Before i decided on Coventry i applied for the BM fixed bond.

That came in the post today and stated it would be at least another 10 days before the account was opened and any cheque sent, credited to the new account. So glad i decided not to wait!!

Sounds like you're being deliberately shunned and ignored as in "you've been sent to Coventry"
    ;)

Good one. Made me smile, even after the frustrating day I've had, what with Coventry, B & B then Nationwide.

Be interesting to see what Nationwide ISA team have to say tomorrow.
Will be on the phone bang on 9am...well hubby will, with me pushing him.;)
  • Had Coventry online accounts for a couple of years. Never had a log in problem (thats asking for trouble , isnt it!) Poppy bond opened easily, showed up very quickly.
  • I've never had log in problems with my Coventry First (hope I haven't jinxed it now!)
  • Hi evenasus

I also had a problem last week (8/11/08) see link http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=1272621

I have gone through the postal re-set process, still waiting for my new Web ID to be returned.

I have had my account for over a year with no problems until then, I like you definitely entered all the correct details.

  • I opened my Poppy Bond online on Tuesday (11th), sent my cheque to the freepost address on Wednesday and received my welcome pack on Thursday.
I had read on here that deposits must be received by the 14th. Just logged on to Coventry (with no probs) but it is not shown as being received yet and neither has it been taken out of Nationwide. Hope this is due to "unprecedented demand" and I haven't missed the boat.
