whoopidoo - thanks but I think they'll all be too big.
If you look on this link:
    http://www.daniellesplace.com/html/mengifts.html
and scroll down till you get to a little bowl of pebbles that say Dad Rocks you'll see what I mean.
Mine's not exactly the same as that.........I've got one pebble with goggle eyes on and a lot ot smaller pebbles around it sitting in an old pot ashtray I'd got that was a bit 'stone' like. I found a sort of guitar shape and put that with the pebble with eyes and found a flat bit of slate and painted 'Neil Rocks' on it (son is music mad and plays guitar. They're not big pebbles so guitar can't be more than about 2 1/2 inches.
Sorry can't put piccy up as don't have all the digi equipment.
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

Thanks for the link mary, I love these sock babies/animals. :D
Because they're no-sew and use elastic bands, I wonder from what age they'd be suitable for? Or maybe a running stitch could be used and pulled taut instead of elastic bands?
I love the peek-a-boo t-shirt further down the page as well.

whoopidoo - it's virtually done and sitting on my shelf. Just need to glue the pebbles down and sort out guitar if I can, if not well the basic shape of a guitar is there so my son will know what its supposed to be...........lol:rotfl:

How about using clip art in MS Word? There are lots of guitar images; maybe print one out onto thin card, stick to thicker card and cut out? You could jazz it up a bit by adding glitter or just colouring on top of the image? You can also stretch the images to get the size you want. HTH x

OT again... but I've just had the call to say that my new niece has arrived safely! :D
I'm gutted that I can't meet her until Thursday (stoopid swine flu!).
I now have 3 days to try to make my first nappy cake. :p

JailhouseBabe congratulations on becoming an Auntie, so glad your new niece arrived safely. Thursday will soon be here, I'm sure that there will be lots of photographs for you to look at in the meantime. Can't advise on the nappy cake but I'm sure Rusty, Rainmac and Saveapenny will give you all the help and advice they can.

Jailhousebabe - Congratualtions on being an auntie !!!:T

-if I can work out the instructions on installing my printer I might have a go at searching some clipart -not brilliant at following instructions -then I've got to fathom how to actually use it.........lol:rotfl:

love the little sock animals on that site but had enough fiddling about to make a snowmans hat from a sock...........lol:rotfl:
