Craftygranny I have just been having a play and it made a cracking noise as it went through I thought I had broken the plate :( I did try the embossing bit too but don't have a mat.. yet.. but I did read somewhere that you can use a piece of funky foam. Great I have lots of that..... I now have a lovely perfect foam shape lol so it didn't work :( will have to buy the proper mat.

NEsties do make a very loud cracking noise ... its fine though ;) just use the same plate on top each time and mark it with a pen or something.

I nearly need a new b plate, I spent £5 on one of these mats which was recommended and it was a waste of time, it made it all slip etc etc I still haven't embossed with the nesties but I like them for the cutters :)

I have just ordered 2 T shirts each for the boys from the Boden sale and am now thinking "how many packs of nesties could I have bought for that?!"
when I do eventually buy some do I need a mat to use with them? what sort of mat is it and what is it for?
