Making cards - Ideas for a card craft beginner (part 2)

Gemm - lovely "fantasy" card - I really like those die-cut edges!
Jailhousebabe - great Guiness card - I love the toucans. Lovely "summer" card too, I'm really loving the swiss dots embossing. Those ice-cream papers are fab too! I've made a new baby boy card recently with a rocking horse stamp that I got from Lili of the valley - I'll put some pics on my blog in a bit.
Mrs. Tidge - what a fab card from Lei-Armstrong!! Your pocket card is great - perfect for a man, I might succumb and try and make one too.
Rusty - gorgeous Peter Pan card - I hope you weren't swearing at me when you made it!!!! The mushrooms are really cute. Hope you have a fun afternoon with bunbun.
Kim-Possible - a lovely selection of baby cards - the romper suit one is so clever, and I agree that baby sentiment stamp is lovely.
Debsy - welcome back - you must be exhausted!!
Dawnteabag - glad you're having fun with your cuttlebug - I must resist the temptation to buy one!!!
Louby Lou-Lou - fab "fantasy" card, the image is really pretty and I love the way you've used the circles to display her. The nausea is horrible isn't it?? With this one for about 3 months I felt sick all the time, and I really lost my appetite, I think I was only physically sick twice but I just couldn't get rid of the nausea.
Craftygranny - your image wallets are fabulous - what a great idea - were they easy to make??? I will happily send Kaitlyn a card - what does she like??? You'll have to PM me your address and I'll send one to her.0 -

Rusty - your peter pan is so mischievious looking; did you get inspiration from anyone in particular?
Louby-lou-lou - That rock fairy is so cool, I love it!
MrsTidge - I [STRIKE]stole[/STRIKE] the idea for the door hangers from rainmacI used the 25p chipboard hangers that rainmac mentioned.
Craftygranny - I love the look of your image wallets, they're very pretty, but.....
what are they?
Thanks for the suggestions regarding the baby card. I'm not sure I could do a bookatrix, they look so complicated and I don't have an embossing board. I might do another pram card, but I made one for DD's friend to congratulate her on her pregnancy - she later miscarried. As my sister saw the card, I don't know if she would associate it with that event?Probably me just being paranoid.
I got a parcel from Craft Superstore this morning.I couldn't resist the basic grey kit for £30 (£25.50 after discount
). There's so much in it! I'll take a photo if anyone wants to see what's in there. I am a bit annoyed at myself though - I ordered some cuttlebug folders to take the total to £40 so I'd get free p&p, but didn't notice that they charged me p&p anyway. It must be because the 15% discount took me back down below £40. I'd actually gone over the £40 as well, so if I'd only ordered 1 more folder I would have had free p&p and only paid 30pence more than I've now spent. Oh well.
On the bright side - I've just sold my first ever cards! :j
I asked a friend if she thought my cards were good enough to sell, and she bought 3 of them. I told her she could have them for free, and that I wouldn't charge a friend, but she insisted that she either paid or wouldn't have them. I didn't know what to charge (and didn't really want to), so asked her for 75 pence each. She laughed at me anad gave me £7.50 for the 3.some people grin and bear it, others smile and do it0 -
thanks the wife and craftygranny, I'm looking at that ebay seller now0

Jailhousebabe - congrats on selling your cards!!! What a great friend haggling up in price rather than down, although your cards are worth much more than 75p! I'd be interested to see what you got in your basic grey package!! I always get confused on websites trying to calculate how much I need to spend in order to get free delivery when I have a discount code.0

I have to confess I have just ordered the new goody bag and a few other bits from the new collection, I probably won't do anything with it until after august though
(well I am 40 next week so I 'need' a treat :rotfl: lol)
Oooohhhh where did you order the new goody bag from??? Saw it in the mag and I may treat myself x:wave: If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0 -

I am being so dumb lately, I say things and forget to post links!!!
I've ordered the boy sitting on a pencil stamp from the Glitter Pot so I can make a card for my DS teacher. Also a cute dragon holding a balloon, whoops shouldn't have really but hey ho  Also ordered quite a few Magnolia stamped images from the person Choccy Orange recommended over on Crafty Place and I've used before. Looking forward to lots of colouring in:wave: If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0
