Hiya everyone!
I've not posted on this thread before but do recognise some of your names from the nappy cake thread.
I have some Sizzix dies that I no longer use/need and I was wondering if anyone would like to either buy them or swap me for something else? If not, no bother I can put them up for sale on Ebay.0 -
Been catching up on some of my emails while I've been away, there is a new issue of the Do Crafts mag available and it comes with a free super cute Daisy and Dandelion Xmas stamp. Magazine is £2.50.
QVC has a craft day on Tuesday!
I got mine in the post today. It's fab! Been playing with the stamp all afternoon. Can't wait for the other products to hit the shelves on July 1st. I will be spending a fortune. Easy come, easy go lol x0 -
Thank you all for your support.
My mum doesn't live with us - she lives in France (both my parents are French but I am anything but!!) and comes to visit periodically. She's here until Monday. She broke our printer last night.
She's always been bipolar and growing up with that was very tough on us kids. My siblings refuse to have more than limited contact with her - I guess I fell I can't do that to her. Sometimes she is 'normal' but 80% of the time she's very unpredictable and can be dangerous - especially as I have toddlers. Small things like leaving the hot water on full blast could be disastrous if my 3 yo gets to it before I do.
In one way, the hardest thing is that she lies a lot - either deliberately or not - she swore she didn't leave the water on but I know she did bc I had the kids with me and there's no one else in the house! She'll do other things like offer to make a cup of coffee and then when you drink it you realise it's a mixture of tea and coffee _pale_. So I don't let her cook anything or even feed the kids bc I just don't know what she puts in things or gives the kids.
I know she's ill and I try my best to be patient and kind but it can be very trying.
DH is back late tonight. He'll be greeted like the meesiah I think!!
Sorry, this post has nothing to do with crafting and I'm sure you don't want to hear about it all.
i really feel for you FIL is bipolar and has previously driven off in the middle of the night and text his 3 children goodbye and good luck, all because he has had an arguement with his girlfriend. the texts the next day saying he is annoyed because he has to pay for the hotel he stopped in because the temp was perfect and last time he got it free coz it was too hot.
so sending you big hugs:grouphug:- although it looks like something else!0 -

Welcome to our little community! :T
How do you go about getting the mag in the post? I'd love that!"Finish each day And be done with it.
You have done what you could.
Some blunders and Absurdities have crept in.
Forget them as soon as you can."

That's exactly the type of thing my mother would do in a depressive phase.
She's taken herself to hospital 3 times before now but refused treatment/to stay there at the last minute. She makes the poor staff run loads of tests etc and then she announces there's nothing wrong with her and that they are the ones with mental health problems and walks out."Finish each day And be done with it.
You have done what you could.
Some blunders and Absurdities have crept in.
Forget them as soon as you can."
