I'm so fed up with my papers trying to leg it while I cut them that I am sorely tempted by this: We R Memory Keepers Magnetic cutting mat.
Can anyone think of some money saving way to achieve the same result?
I must admit I've had my eye on that cutting set too, some places sell it for £35 too! I use my guillotine for general cutting but sometimes you need a knife for smaller cuts inside the card or paper which this set would be ideal for.
Regarding a cheaper alternative, a tip I once read was to 'attach fine sandpaper to the back of a ruler to prevent slipping' - haven't tried it myself but it would be a moneysaving alternative.I don't want to make money, I just want to be wonderfulMarilyn Monroe0 -
I decided to be good and not buy the box even though it is lovely it does seem alot for a show box ...lol but thanks for the tip

Yippee skippee! Blog created but I will be back for some tips as it isn't quite ready for public inspection yet.
This came through my email this morning, not had time to have a good root around the site but looks like it could be my kind of thing.

Hello everyone, what a gorgeous day it is, I've just nipped back in from the garden as my LO is getting tired so I'm hoping he'll have a little nap!
Rainmac I made your card last night so I'll be posting it on Tuesday, really hope you like it. I'm still trying to make my ATC for Paddingtondoo Oh I'm struggling the size is so small!!
Rainmac Would you be able to post the link you watched to make your fathers day cards, I think they are fab and I have the Secret Garden papers so if you don't mind I would like to have a try creating one!
Now for the silly question I want to make my exploding boxes soon but I'm unclear on the cardstock, has it got to be proper thick card? or can I use the papermania paper/card? I'm confused! (it doesn't take much!)
Gemm How's the baby cuttlebug? I'd love to have one!!
This is the link for the diamond shaped card... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hkDfbyHXKvY
For the exploding box I think thinner card such as Bazzill would work better than thick. I've made one and used thin card
Still to post your card Hels, hope to do it today or tomorrow:wave: If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0 -

about 15 packets of small decoupage sheets
wooden stamps (about 6)
brass sentcils

I can't remember everything but it was nearly all brand new and the carrier bag was bursting at the seams.:j:j:j

Hello
These were on offer from a craft shop near me via our local paper. I have no children to use them so, I thought, in the way of Blog Candy I'd offer them on here to those whose children may use them. (it does carry the usual warnings about under 3's). Let me know if you would like it and if more than one would I will do a draw on say, 31/5/09?
If they are no good or everyone has them will someone tell me & I'll remove the post?
Thank you!0
