I want to say a huge Public thanks to her  I arrived home from work today to find a load of beautiful papers that she has sent me, I am so touched by her incredible generosity to effectively a complete stranger! (do you recognise the lovely paper i've used saveapenny ;) )

I won't bore you all with the details but the past few years haven't been the best for me, and finding this thread and all of the lovely warm, welcoming and genuine people who make it what it is, has kind of restored my faith in humanity. (I know that sounds cheesy :D but its true!)

anyway, emotional outburst over :rotfl: on with our crafty evenings, mine certainly will be as i've had an order for 6 easter cards by tomorrow, arrghh!!!

What a great card Gemm, love the paper :D and it's for a very lovely lady, someone who also sent me a few nice bits and pieces this week ;) Thank you so much saveapenny, hope you got your bits from me x

Sorry to hear you have had a rough time of things Gemm. I hope life is now on the up for you. This is a lovely thread isn't it, a bit like sitting in your living room having a natter with some friends over a cuppa. I still haven't got round to making your gorgeous fudge but my tin of milk and the recipe are still sitting in my kitchen, I think it will have to be done over Easter ;)
 If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain

Really lovely card Gemma. Saveapenny is a very kind and very generous lady, I myself have been on the receiving end of her kindness.

Thank-you for wishing me a nice weekend away. We are not going very far just to a cheapy caravan meeting about 40miles away, but I don't care at least it's away from home. We have just booked to go to Venice for.New Year so I'm quite excited about that, never been there before.

I have made a easter card tonight with the chick download from Pink Petticoat so I will take a pic in the morning before I pop it in the post.

thanks for all your comments on my card :)

jailhouse - I got straight onto crafting as soon as i walked through the door and opened the post, the layout is pretty basic really so it didnt take me too long to put together, the hardest part was deciding which of the gorge papers to use! hope you had a good time at dog training, do you have a new puppy?

flourgirl - have a great weekend break! :j

paddingtondoo - lovely cards, I have left you a blog comment. :T You mention that your 'Best wishes' sentiment is from docrafts mag, is that the current issue (and is it a rub on?)

rainmac - I know just what you mean, it's nice to be able to come on here and post at your leisure with a cup of tea and a laptop ;) things are definiely looking up recently, I moved areas about 18 months ago and although I am much nearer my family now, didn't really have anyone I would call a friend, I know its a weird way to look at it but I do count the people on this thread and in blogland as 'friends' so to speak, people who I have something in common with! sorry if i'm rambling lol... let me know how your fudge goes!

have finished my easter cards order and I'm wiped out now, the craft corner is closed! :D going to settle down now and watch the apprentice

Gemm - sorry to hear life's been tough. I hope things get better. I'm just emerging from a horrible 3 year depression.I really love your card! You've got a good eye for design. :T

Can anyone tell me the correct way to use a paper trimmer?
i know it should be obvious but i can never work exactly where it's going to slice...what am i doing wrong?
