I was really chuffed yesterday. My MIL had a few of my cards a few weeks back to send to some relatives. One got talking to a friend and wanted to know where she had the beautiful card from because she had never seen anything like it before and they thougth it had been brought from a very expensive shop in town
The other card went to a friend in Ireland who rang her up to thank her for the card and said it was the nicest card she had ever had
I was so chuffed...Its so nice when we make cards and they are realy appreciated
I also made a box of cards for a friend to take to work...the box came back empty and I made another £40 and 3 more ordersIf you look anything like your passport photo....Your too ill to travel0 -

Fantastic saveapenny :T You're right, it is lovely when someone looks at something you've made and says it's great. If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0 -
Hi, this is the book card I made for my nan, thanks for the help mini macker.
And this is the finished card that I made my friend
Wow, they are both gorgeous, well done you :T
I am thinking of trying a book card for the challenge, it is really hard - be honest:wave: If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0 -
Wow well done Saveapenny
your cards are always beautiful and you really deserve it
Zoe lovely cards, I love them both!
Rainmac, glad it isn't just me .... We changed the washing machine a couple of months ago, his was about 12 years old but still worked but when I moved up I had my nice shiny new 30 min a cycle jobby and I persuaded him to swap them over and put both his washer and dryer on freecycle ... he now uses the excuse it is too hard to use, even though you just need to press start!!!Raising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0 -

OOooohhh!!
What did u buy???
Sorry nosey Furrypig loves knowing what everyone else has been buying!! I watched hours of it (fast forwarding through the boring bits ie Dawn Bibby!!) so would love to know what u purchased!
Something expensive I suspect judging by the fact u saved £60!! Was it the computer printer type thingy for cutting out things???0 -

I'm sure if it will work but I just subscribed to making www.home-made-cards.com and you get some pretty paper downloads free.
Bun Bun, I love my little glue gun and use it every chance I get but £5 is a little dear. I got mine from woolies (I miss that shop so much!!) but I think wilkos do them too. I was naughty and got a big one on saturday from Home Bargains for £2.99, I don't really need it but accidentaly brought some big glitter glue sticks so now I'll be able to use them. although I do also have small glitter glue sticks that I have never used! whoops!!
Savapenny, that vellum wrap card is gorgeous, I will have a try to see if i can make something like that with my sheets.
I didn't get round to the last challenge as inspiration never hit me but this one is perfect as I was already planning to make some cupcake shaped cards tonight!
What a long post, sorry! xx0 -
Zoe, your cards are lovely. When you scanned the picture of the second one recently, I didn't realise that they were pockets that you could slip tags into - I thought it was just trim. It looks really effective - have you written messages on the tags?some people grin and bear it, others smile and do it0
