I have sort of finished my book card for my neice, it took ages and was a struggle trying to figure out what to put on it. I'll post some pics later, we're just off to her party in a minute and its snowing!
Minimacka - PML is the lady who you are voting for - her name is Melanie, and her work is so much better than mine, so I'm really flattered that you got us confused!! Good luck with your stamped images!
Cgcockcroft - a great selection of cards - I love the valentine's paper that you've used.0 -
Mumhug - did you mean like an exploding box card where you take the layers off and the box opens??? I'll try and find a link for you when I get back. I bought a kit from ebay for the first one that I did, but there's loads of free instructions on the net.0

saveapenny wrote: »ZL and Marg...you use them by placing the card or paper over the top and rubbing either with the fiskar tool or anything like an embossing tool..its best to only use the size of paper or card you need and not to try and over the whole lot, also fix the board down. You can get some nice results using kiddies crayon and using it like an old fashioned brass rubbing or coloured pencils
hope that help.
If you like it I have a load more some are going to Jailhouse but Im willing to share the rest out
PM me your address's if you want anymore
Thanks for your kind offer, I think I am ok for now. (too technical for me :rotfl::rotfl: hence why only just found them again lol):wave: Wins in 09 = A vodka cocktail kit thing lol, £150 Amazon voucher.0 -
ZLS - sorry to hear about daughters foot hope i'd better soon.
Saveapenny - Thank you it makes sense now I might try the 'crayon rubbing' idea.
CGC - Fab cards you have been busy - I like the 'hotlips' ones best
I'm trying to finish my Valentine card which may be my red entry this week if it works out OK then I've got 2 birthday & an anniversary card to do for my friends - no pressure! but I've got a very busy week ahead, vets, dentist, work, 'girls' nght out & I'd rather be card making instead well apart from the 'girls' night out bit:rotfl:0 -
My daughters foot is fine now, quickly healed she is now jumping about on it lol.
Question?
I am wanting to have a go at the Waterfall card, but the tutorial on YouTube is confusing me. In the measurments it is saying things like 2 3/4 what on earth is this. ( I know its two and three quarters but how do I measure this):wave: Wins in 09 = A vodka cocktail kit thing lol, £150 Amazon voucher.0 -
Hi ZLS Glad foot better................Kids!!
I'm guessing that it's an American tutorial and americans don't use cm they use inches, so 2 3/4 inches would be about 7cm.
I'm so old I think in inches! but a rough rule of thumb is
2.5cm = about 1" inch.
10cm = about 4"
Perhaps write down all the inch measures then there'll be a conversion site if you google & convert each one before you start so you don't cut it wrong.
Hope this helps & if it wasn't what you meant - sorry M0
