  • Those card inserts are brillant!, just printed 'a few' out at work, naughty I know!
I am trying to make a valentines card but so far I'v taken it apart about 5fives but I think I'v finally realised why it keeps looking so dull- i need to layer things up abit more.

I want to do some boxes of cards for my Aunt, Nan and Godmother so I need to get good soon! But I must stop buying things, and try to just use what i have, I just fall in love with all the toppers and sparkly extras but they cost sooo much!
    xx

OK so I didn't spend any money via your links Melissa but I have just bought a few 'essential' items from this site... http://www.fatfreddie.co.uk/index.php. P&P up to £10 is £2 and £2.75 over £10 spend. I got some Fat Freddie die cut decoupage sheets (very cute), Basic Grey fibres (massively reduced), some K&Co Xmas 12x12 papers (22p a sheet!) and some ribbons. I quite liked the site, it's small but lots of bits to look at :D

Hi bunbun, I got this one from artymiss. It's a proper 8x8 album for only 99p, but doesn't come with any papers or embellishments. I've had a couple of mini-kits too, I'll see if I can find the links for you.

ETA: I've also got this 12x12 retro floral scrapbook kit from docrafts for £4.99 - it comes with papers, letters, etc. They've got other kits as well on the site.
some people grin and bear it, others smile and do it :)

Rainmac - I bought a few of the flip packs from ebay, and they are quite good, but I resisted too. I got my email today as well from docrafts, looks like it'll be delivered Thursday. I'm off to pay fat freddie a visit now, I can't resist cheap basic grey fibres.
Bunbun2 - I started scrapbooking by buying a few mini book kits from K and co from ebay. You can normally find them for about a fiver. They are really good and come with everything that you need. Papermania do some nice looking ones too, I think craftsuperstore had some that were reduced.

  • My boyfriend was channel flicking in that annoying way only men can and stopped when he saw a stencilling demonstration on QVC and after making a few jokes at my new craft craze he sat and watched it for about half an hour, he actually seemed upset when the craft session finished! lol!

Crikey crazychatter - I'd think my OH was ill if he did that. His eyes start glazing over if I mention anything crafty.
